| I really enjoyed it. I am no prude at all, but found the constant f*ck distracting and not true to the era. Costumes were absolutely fantastic. |
Agree with this, but on the whole really liked it! |
| Love the dad character. He's hilarious! |
| I love it! I also like that it feels like a play sometimes. |
I was wondering about this as well. I know she was supposed to be an edgy comic, but I didn't think it fit the era. After they put all that effort into the gorgeous costumes and set design, it was especially jarring. |
I felt like it was purposeful. There was one time she was bombing on stage and she threw in some f bombs and people started laughing a little. It was a crutch in that scene, at least. |
But other characters said fuck a lot as well. Made sense for Lenny Bruce. . .but for the others it didn't make a of sense. |
It was POTUS asking. |
Fleabag, maybe? |
I can see Joel wants to do it for approval, proving he's a clueless fool in the process. But no way would his parents respond like that. They'd be berating him and begging him to try to patch things up with Midge, for the sake of their social standing and relationship with the grandchildren. |
| I watched about 6 episodes and gave up because I felt nothing new was happening. |
I get that. But like he said, he asked to be taken back and she said no. |
Because it's basically Gilmore Girls with the F word. |
| I've watched the first five episodes. Loved the first one but not sure I'll finish the series. It just hasn't held my attention despite the beautiful visuals, and I finally realized why. I have no emotional investment in any of the characters. Not even Midge. |
Same. It was my show to watch while I nursed my son. He doesn’t nurse anymore, and I haven’t returned to the show and don’t miss it. |
