It is definitely definitely definitely always a discussed possible side effect. I'm sorry it was difficult for you PP though, that stinks. I am PP whose sister had a reduction and then about 5 years later she gained a bunch of weight due to some outside medical stuff mostly- she lost all that weight and has kept it off and yes her boobs grew almost all the way back when she got heavy, but when she lost weight they went back down to surgery size. Definitely different from when she was a teen (or me now actually) where losing weight has almost no effect on my chest. obviously YMMV but for those who are worried that after weight gain or pregnancy that your boobs will be huge again even after might not be the case |
YES |
*sought. And I would actually disagree with your premise based on what I've seen; the sexy dark curvy look is very sought after |
I don't think this is true. Plastic surgeons won't do it until the nose stops growing which his around 16. |
"Deviated septum" is how you get insurance to pay for a nose job. |
Yes, this is not something I would do as a parent. I don't like the message it sends about a parent's opinion of her child's looks. (Exception - if the child was injured in an accident leading to the nose reduction, had medical issues with a deviated septum etc.) Sorry but I don't compare a surgery with braces - one is more invasive than the other, and misaligned teeth can lead to long term implications with the jaw and bite. The money should come from the (now adult) child as a sign of commitment to a serious procedure, and a show of serious intent. Every month that is saved towards the procedure is a month of contemplation about whether that is something she really wants to do. I would fully support my daughter's decision to do this after age 18 if that is what she chose to do. Might even give a gift towards it, but wouldn't pay the full amount, ever. |
That was the plan with my brother's deviated septum; then he got in a fight and broke his nose, so they did it then instead. He did need another surgery as an adult though, so waiting is better apparently. |
Lol. Is this a troll? I hope so. |

Nose jobs can be done in different ways.
Some get the cookie cutter Hollywood nose. Other just fix a prominent feature and make the bump or curve or length less noticeable. Subtle changes that make the nose less of a focal point rather than a whole new nose. |
Same here. |
Are you making her wait on principal, or for reasonable medical reasons. I can certainly see her having issues with her nose if it doesn't work properly. I hope the clogged nostril isn't having an impact on bone development and her teeth (mouth breathing rots teeth and leads to bother problems). |
Bingo. Also how you deflect from "You let your 16-year-old get cosmetic plastic surgery?!" No, she needed it for her condition. |
| I wish some people would get rhinoplasty. Too thin hawkish noses are ugly, wierd and make whistling breathing noises. Too wide a nose is ugly. Triangular shaped noses or ones with huge nostrils are ugly too. Now I will say, I loove my nose. It is the cutest, most proportional button nose with no upturning at all. Nice, petite but not narrow nostrils. My girls were lucky they have my nose. |
I think I love you, and your perfect nose. |
Yo moron, all the big-nosed girls in Armenia hated their schnobels fifty years ago when they had no idea what the white Western European society was like. Difference was their generation couldn't correct it, and ours can. So we do. Oh, is it is OK when a white Western European person gets a nose job? Then it's OK? |
