Turns out he was not arrested for a DUI. I made an assumption based on his past history. It was something really stupid and minor that he was arrested for ( jaywalking). Apparently he ended up with a citation instead of actually getting arrested. He admitted his past and how he had to serve jail time for the drugs. I told him I wasn't interested and he actually got mad and told me to delete his number. We are done!

His reaction is telling. You did what is best for you. Block his number and move on.

And be careful. An ex of a friend keeps beating up his gf and wives. Guilts them into not testifying and then has the record erased when found not guilty. The arrest are always visible but the actual charges and cases disappear.

That's what I was thinking as well. You have to be really mouthy or drunk to get arrested for jaywalking.
