I am sure your children’ teachers think your kids are simply a delight. ![]() |
Adults do protest like this and worst. And when did Betsy Devos become their boss. You are twisting facts to suit your purpose. |
They fear the stupidity. They fear people who have lived a life in isolated wealth and privilege dismantling public education for the purpose of using federal tax dollars to pad the pockets of her cronys. After all, it's the model that worked so well for her brother. |
Any idiot can stage a protest based on visceral reactions. It takes maturity to learn to debate in an educated manner. Look at all the students who did NOT protest: those are the ones with wisdom. |
These are college students with free will and independent judgement. |

DeVos wasn't there for the purpose of engaging in a meaningful debate on higher education or any other policy. She doesn't care what these students think. Why is this so hard for you? |
And? Appearances can be deceiving - as evidenced by the absurd appointment of Betsy DeVos to be Secretary of Education in the first place. Oh sure she looks like an intelligent, observant, and competent person but this trick said guns were needed in schools to ward off friggin bears... And this trick thought that HBCU's are examples of school choice - not realizing that HBCU's were, in fact, established out of necessity because whites refused to let blacks to use the same water fountain as them so no way they'd let blacks sit in the same classroom. And sitting Republican senators have received $115,000 from Betsy DeVos herself, and more than $950,000 from the full DeVos clan since 1980. In the past two election cycles alone, her family has donated $8.3 million to Republican Party super PACs. So yeah it appears she was chosen as Secretary of Education for her experience/ingenuity but considering this trick has never worked in education but just happened to have given a shit-load of money to the GOP, like I said...appearances can be deceiving. |

+1000. If the college President was too stupid to not shuck and jive then that was his fault. |
I agree with pp. By accepting and condoning behavior such as this in what SHOULD BE a dignified ceremony, we end up with people beating up others on airplanes, passengers assaulting flight attendants and crew when their flight is canceled, teens body slamming elderly people at the swimming pool, and other hateful and aggressive acts. Why should we be surprised that these entitled young adults grow up to expect the world to conform to their wishes? Some people could use some lessons on kindness and appropriate behavior. |
Bitch please. All of a sudden civility exists? Trump is not civil. You get what you give. He created this environment, now live with it. These are the students I want to hire. Those who can actually think for themselves. I don't need robots to work for me. |
Keep reaching...keep reaching...I'm sure if you keep digging up your ass scraping around in all that bullshit eventually you'll find a turd of truth to justify your audacious argument - so keep reaching!! |
So they didn't get what they want, so instead of accepting that you don't get everything you ask for in life, they throw a tantrum like pre-teen children and ruin the ceremony for themselves and anyone else in attendance. Real mature. |
LMAO. Money on you not actually running any business or have any meaningful direct reports in your current job. Business is largely about orderly process, even creativity has context. I don't need robots to work for me either, but I do need people who can follow orders when given and know where and when to complain. There's a time and a place for everything. |
