Hogan will be easily reelected. No Democrat can defeat him in 2018

I'm a Democrat who voted for Hogan, but can no longer stomach a vote for a republican after the healthcare fiasco.

Really glad some Dems I can vote for are starting to get into the race!

As if Larry Hogan has anything at all to do with a congressional bill! This just proves you were looking for any reason not to vote for him. And that's fine, but lets call it like it is.

I'm sorry, but if you live in Maryland, you will realize that the healthcare fiasco was Anthony Brown and the debacle that was the MD healthcare exchange. If you think that Republicans have the lock on incompetency, mismanagement and poor legislative control, then you haven't been paying attention to American politics for the last several decades. We need what France got, fresh blood and independence from the self-destructive 2 party system.

I'm a teacher and will never vote for Hogan based on his decision to change the school calendar. I know it may seem like a minor issue to many of you, but lengthening the summer vacation is terrible for children.

Are you kidding? It's great. It's the way it should be!

Agreed. He doesn't care at all about education.

As a teacher, can you explain how one additional week of summer vacation is "terrible" for children?

I'm pretty sure my child's math and english knowledge doesn't have an expiration date, where an 8 week summer vacation is just fine, but a 9 week summer vacation means he's suddenly forgotten everything from the previous year. My child still gets the same number of school days so he should get the same education during the school year, correct?

Hogan is basically a Republican. Dems will have bigger fish to fry. He's popular for standing up to Trump.

Maryland in big trouble if we keep Hogan. Not only has he been unwilling to address racial violence, he will not protect us against Trumpcare.

Hogan is scary. Just a puppet for Donnie.

I think Madaleno is a good guy. Hogan is a horror.

Good guy or not, I would not waste your vote on this guy. He has virtually no chance of even making it out of the primaries, let alone winning the election. He has no name recognition outside of Montgomery County and it would be a surprise me if he got more than 2% of the state votes outside of Montgomery County. Less than 5% of the state outside of Montgomery County will even think twice about voting for him.

Spend the money, effort and votes on getting someone in office who has a chance. Voting for this guy is a vote for principle only.
