Then, who is teh Dem running from MoCo, or any other area of the state? I will gladly vote for them, who ever they are. Hogan ran from the Eastern Shore and won. If a republican from the eastern shore can win in a solidly Democrat state, the Democrats are doing it wrong. |
It should be noted that Brown was another Kennedy-Townsend and that O'Malley was extremely unpopular. The Dems got it wrong for sure, but they can easily fix it with the right candidate. |
|
Rushern Baker is going to crush Hogan like a grape.
I'd suggest saving the state the $$$ on the election and just swear him him next week. It's a forgone conclusion. No one can beat Baker. No one. |
Hahha.. pick a scandal of the week in PG County that happened while he was county exec.... How about the one where a member of the liquor board got a DWI after leaving an event at MGM National Harbor? Good times! |
Oh please, I am Democrat and I know this is not going to happen. I'm going to have to hold my nose and vote, because I don't like anyone who is running so far--and I am on the liberal side of the Democratic party. Maryland needs to get it together. |
| too bad tom perez isn't going to run. |
| Th moderation Hogan brings is the check he provides on the legislature. I am a registered Democrat but did not like O'Malley and believed the full concentration of power in one party was not good for MD. I voted for Hogan last time and don't regret that. |
What does that have to do with Baker? |
Pretty sure Hogan lived in Annapolis, not the Eastern Shore. |
And wasn't he once Howard (or Ann Arundal) County Exec? |
Guilt by association. All politicians from PG are bad. |
Know the facts of Maryland politics if you are going to discuss this! It was the governor's father, the recently-deceased Larry Hogan, Sr., who was PG County Executive (and a US Congressman from PG before that). |
|
I have a name I want to throw out.
Ben Cardin for Governor. |
You want a 75-year old governor? Plus, no way does he want to give up US Senator perks for the aggravation of Annapolis. |
| Massachusetts has republican governors all the time. Lots of democrat states do. People want their taxes low and managed better. |
