SERIOUS: Have you ever had a premonition about something, and then it happened?

Anonymous
Background..,. My H's ex stalked me.

About 5 years post stalking I was at work, at 11 am I felt sick and went to the bathroom to throw up.

Went home got in bed and tried to sleep, couldn't.

My H got home from work and said what's up, I explained that I threw up st 11am and came home. He ask me "stomach flu" eat something bad?

I said I know this sounds crazy but I think you were with your ex my stalker. He said that is crazy because she showed up st his work at 11 to "talk".

I’ve had several premonitions. Here are two examples. Once I had a feeling that I would soon experience violence – nothing more specific than that. A couple of days passed and, as I was driving down the highway, I recalled the feeling, wondering when it would happen. At that moment, my hood flew up, completely obstructing my view out the windshield. Luckily I was in the right lane. I quickly slowed down, pulled over and put the hood back down. No harm done.

Another time I had the strong feeling an old friend was trying to contact me. I tried unsuccessfully to locate him, but knew he could find me through family whose contact info had not changed since we were kids. When he finally called I wasn’t the least surprised, and asked him what took him so long.

In neither case did I invoke God or think God was somehow involved. I was religious at the time but no longer am.

I was at s stop light with my daughter, waiting to turn left. For some reason, as soon as the light turned green, I hesitated bc I felt something was going to happen. There was no one behind me, thankfully. So I waited a few seconds.

At that point, shortly after the light turned, a car ran the red. Had I not stopped, we would have been hit.

It was really frightening, but I was so grateful that I listened to my intuition.

When the huge Indonesian tsunami happened I dreamt of thousands of people being bulldozed by mud and dirt. I could hear them screaming. Woke up to the news of the tsunami. It shook me to the core. I feel like when that many souls are crying out at once, we can't help but "hear" them in some way.

I also have dreams that friends are pregnant before they have announced it, or sometimes a few days before they find out. It's happened 4 times. I sense when a deer will be in the road around a bend, which is useful. I've had a couple times when I've gone to inquire about someone's significant other and knew they broke up or were thinking about breaking up, before I could get the sentence out. Long term relationships, not flings. I think some things are just reading people, but some are intuition/a feeling. I have a doctor who says I might be an empath, whatever that is.

I wish I could tap into it more.

You can, but you have to practice it, meditate, stay in touch with God. It's definitely a skill that everyone is born with, though some have high levels than others, like any other talent. And just like a talent, practice can help expand your abilities, no matter the level you were gifted with.

I can tap into mine at will. I use it absolutely ALL the time. Best sense ever

Op, so hoe exactly do you practice this?

Well, first, and this takes a while- start listening. I mean all the time. I mean you know when you're driving and you suddenly think, "God, I feel like I should switch the radio"- do it! Now matter how small. Or "I forgot something in my room"- go up and double check, no matter what. There will be many false alarms, and there will be a few times when it is accurate, an actual premonition. Over time, you will learn to tell the difference between that supernatural "nudge" in the right direction, and just errant, everyday thoughts/worries. But you have to practice it enough to learn it- it's like becoming fluent in a language, there's a long period where you're going to be annoyed and not understanding.

Once you reach the point of being able to understand the actual spiritual messages, then you will recognize them when they come. God will see that you are actually listening, that you have done the work and want to know, and He/She will send you more of them. You'll also be able to recognize the God energy that sends these messages, and so you'll be able to tap into it more at will. This can take a long time to reach that point- I would say it's taken me several years. But it's been worth it, and you are learning and still interacting with God in the meantime.

Things that can help to speed up the process: MEDITATION. Yoga, alone time when you work to connect with God (which is basically meditation). Going to spiritual vertex centers like Sedona, where the veil is thinner and you will be able to feel God more easily.

I hope that is helpful. I'm sure I will get ripped for being a woo on here but there are many like me who can connect to God and have these messages. It's just places like DC are not very open to these beliefs.

belief in God is not needed to have premonitions

Connection with God is absolutely key to tuning into your psychic seeing and having premonitions.

For you ,maybe but not for everyone. Some people have premonitions unbidden and without any connection to god.

I think i'll trust the professional psychic on this, not you, TYVM

Or use your psychic powers or common sense by not putting your "trust" in any one point of view expressed on an anonymous discussion board.

Already did which is when I posted about the importance of connection with God. Thanks for playing!

"Importance of connection" is quite different from the earlier stated "absolutely key" which implies that a person can't have a premonition without a connection with God. That is not accurate. Premonitions are quite possible without a god connection. Obviously it's key to you, but please be careful about speaking for everyone else.

Right... did you see the part where the PP asked how they "practice this" in order to increase the number of premonitions? Reading is fundamental. Thanks for playing!

Everyone has had premonitions that happened.

Why?

Say you have 10 strong random thoughts a day.

That's 3,650 a year.

Some things that happen in your life will of course resemble some of those 3,650 premonitions.

Interesting how you both quoted the OP and then did exactly what she asked people not to do. How nice.

Nice. Maybe next time listen and don't post things that the OP specifically asked you not to. Lesson learned!

I dreamt about this tsunami as well, the night before it happened.

Some people practice. Some people don't. And please stop saying "Thanks for playing" I sense that you're not being sincere.
