SERIOUS: Have you ever had a premonition about something, and then it happened?

I had a vision, sort of like a video showing me a scene of someone dying in my family and an ambulance coming and taking them away. I was awake, this vision was during the day. Anyway, after that vision I just knew that someone in my family was going to die, but didn't know who or how and was so scared it would be my twin sister.

In the back of my mind I knew this was going to happened but always had the dread of anticipation of who it would be.

Then 1 month later I got a phone call from my parents and I knew then that someone had died. They told me It was my older brother Who had died and that he had died peacefully in his sleep from a brain heomorage. Again I recalled the vision but I didn't believe he had died peacefully. I really believed in my heart that he had killed himself and told a few people around me.

Another few months later my parents came to visit me and then they told me the truth. He had killed himself. They didn't tell me earlier because they didn't want to upset me. (Messes up I know, but that's another story)

Oh wow. I am sorry you went through that.
How did you know he killed himself? A feeling?

A week later in real life my 34 year old friend died unexpectedly due to complications of having her wisdom teeth removed. I don't really believe it was a premonition but the dream has haunted me for these 15 years.

Wow that's so awful. How does one die from wisdom teeth extraction?

I'm not sure the exact specifics of wisdom teeth complications, but I know they can happen quite easily. It's a serious operation.

A lot of people don't realize how quickly a tooth infection, if it has gone down into the root, can be deadly. I didn't know until I had to get a lot of dental work done and my dentist had to be constantly checking in with me. And this was nowhere near a wisdom teeth removal

+1 to that question. OP, what exactly are you looking for? I'm one of the people who gave an affirmative response to your angel/demon thread. However, this is starting to get silly.

????

The other thread is called "near death experiences or encounters with angels/demons". When (some) people posted premonitions I said they were welcome to, but that was not the subject of the thread.

It did get me intrigued though, and that night I actually had a very compelling dream that, to me, felt like a "premonition" or a message.

So there are multiple reasons why I posted. Not sure why it would be "silly"... but if it bothers you, do ignore it. This is just a friendly thread.

About 20 years ago for several nights in a row I dreamed about trains breaking up and snow drifting in through the broken parts. The next night MARC and Amtrak trains in Silver Spring collidedin the snow, killing 11 people. That was kind of freaky.

To be honest he was a pretty messed up kid, always troubled, but it also was a feeling.

I've never had any sort of vision or premonition since.

Actually I lie. I also always grew up knowing I would get cancer. Not really obsessing about it all the time but just a thought in the back of my mind. When I was married my husband was diagnosed with cancer and I thought oh ok it must be someone close to me instead. But then a year later I got cancer and thought 'doh!' I was right!

It's silly because - well first off, "????" suggests an imbalanced mind, tbh - it's likely you're looking around for superficial stories, not asking further, more important and more insightful questions of the people who answered you in the first thread. So you don't follow up on a discussion you started in the first thread, and then you start a second thread. You do realize there are actual forums that are dedicated to psychic phenomena and building intuitive senses, right? Religion and psychic/paranormal experiences do not necessarily fall under the same category.

There are lots of threads on various forums about various topics... does this mean we can't post about things to DCUM unless it's the first time it's been mentioned on the internet? Because that seems a bit strange.

And I hardly think "????" which indicates confusion, suggest an "imbalanced mind". You're reaching... hard.

OP I'm enjoying this thread.
My own premonitions happen to be less dramatic than most of the posters here and very frequent. They're what most people consider coincidences but to me, they're "knowings". For instance, my DH and I plan to take our daughters out seperately for dinner, never discussing where we're going, and end up at the same obscure restaurant. That's a coincidence right? Except in the parking lot, I had this overwhelming knowing that he and my other DD were going to be there. And then, they show up. This sort of thing happens a couple of times a week, where I just know what's going to happen before it does.

A week before an overseas trip I dreamt we went to the airport and I was denied boarding because my passport was expired. Woke up and checked and sure enough-my passport was about to expire. I had the wrong date in my head of when I had last renewed it. Luckily that gave me enough time to get it renewed at the passport office before leaving.

You mean bad feeling? Yes, many times and it has happened. So now when I get a feeling that this or that will happen, I take steps to make sure it won't.
Usually accidents, some bigger, some smaller, but always somebody getting hurt and one time it ended in death.

Infection, usually. Sepsis or pericarditis or endocarditis
