Favorite TV Houses

I liked the coziness of the Family Ties home as well, but the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's home always just looked like a cheap sitcom set to me.

And I loved the Mediterranean-style exterior of Kris Jenner's house on KUWTK.
Much better than the real white stucco w/terra cotta Spanish style roof.

Brady Bunch. Remember backyard with Astro turf. Loved the Jack and Jill bathroom with sliding doors. And that floating staircase !!! So much cooler and different than the Colonial house I lived in.
I also wanted to be an architect like Mike Brady!

Seth Cohen's house on the OC.

Lots of ones that have already been mentioned: The Brady Bunch, The Gooden Girls, Cosby Show, Roseanne, the Bravermans' homes--all of them!, Full House.

Ones that I love from movies:

Steve Martin's houses in The Housesitter & Father of the Bride, the ranch in the original Parent Trap, and OMG Auntie Mame's apartment on Beekman Place in the Rosalind Russell version.

And didn't Becky and Darlene sleep in the attic? Also no formal dining room. And considering Dan worked in construction I'm surprised the basement wasn't finished.

It's like that saying "the cobbler's wife has no shoes"; the contractor's wife has no finished basement and a house full of half finished fucking problems going back for YEARS.

- Totally not bitter contractor's wife.

There was an episode of Roseanne where Dan was remodeling another house and Roseanne was talking about the things that were in the remodel that Dan hadn't done in their house.

Op here. I loved the two staircases too and spent so much time as a kid thinking really fancy houses have a kitchen stairway and a front stairway only to realize IRL you rarely see that because nobody is living in a sitcom and needs easy entrance/exit points for scenes. But so many of those 90s show houses had them!!

We built our house three years ago with a front and back staircase.

Meredith's houses on Grey's Anatomy - both her mother's house and the house she built with Derek.

Agree with the Revenge house, and also the house on Black-ish

I really liked the houses on Desperate Housewives. I heard they were on the old Leave it to Beaver lot. I'd liked the house on Leave to Beaver too. Pocket doors!

Not a tv show, but the house in Father of the Bride is my favorite house ever.

if we're going for movie houses, the one in "Something's Gotta Give" is the best.
