| I hope this is an Easter baby because the name still screams Easter baby to me. The way Holly should be born around December kind of name. |

This area is a toxic combo of judgmental and risk-averse (so as not to be judged of course!)
It is the most risk-averse place I have ever lived. Many people are living in terror of what others think. I know, I'll become a lawyer! No one can make fun of that! Oh, wait... |

I asked some teens and teens they said 'ew'.
But go ahead, I'm sure your daughter will enjoy that. |

The top 100 French girls names. How about Hortense? It's French - go with that.

When you were a child, do you think of people 13 years older than you as your peers? Not to mention, consulting tweens/teens on a question of taste. Should we all listen to Taylor Swift? |
Those are actually not the top 100 French girls names. The top 10 girl names in France in 2010 were Emma Léa Chloé Manon Inès Lola Jade Camille Sarah Louise http://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/france/2010 |

OP here, thanks everyone for your input. Sorry I disappeared from the thread, things just got away from me.
We have decided to go with Pascale as it's the name of a beloved relative who passed away. So I'm glad that some of you like it. I know it's not a common name in America but maybe that's a good thing. |
Good for you, OP! Glad you found a name you're happy with! Congrats! |
| Good for you OP. I had a European friend (mother French, father English) named Pascale in college and I always liked the name. Don't listen to the DCUM naysayers. Not every girl needs to be named Sophia or Charlotte! |
Not that there's anything wrong with Charlotte. -mother of a Charlotte (I like Pascale.)
