Hi everyone, what do people think of the name Pascale for a girl? DH is French and really likes it. But is it so uncommon as to seem weird?

I love it. Sounds beautiful and very refined.

I don't like holiday-related names, but it's ok.

It's a popular boy name in Germany.

I really don't like that for a girl or for a boy.

Frenchie.

I am Italian and have a lot of Pasquales in my family. I am not a fan.

Isn't it a boy's name?

I was about to say "I would assume a French family" and then read your DH is indeed French. I like it!

That's Pascal with no -e.

Funny, I know more girls/women with the name Pascale from Belgium and Congo (formerly Belgian-controlled) than from France. I like the name.

Don't like it. Consider Claudine?

OP, how is it pronounced? It looks nice written.

It's such a pretty name, but it just makes me think of a sacrificial lamb.

If Inhadn't taken French and didn't know you added an e to feminine, I'd assume it was a boy's name. In that vein, I prefer Paula, Pauline, or Phillipa
