Will FCPS be closed Tuesday?

Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fredericksburg are closed tomorrow. Isn't it supposed to warm from south to north?

Yes, this area does suck at dealing with snow.

This is now our third year in a row of shitty winter weather. That is a trend. Not just one winter in 5.

We do need to get it together and better deal with small events, at least.

It snowed at the END of January. 1 big storm. One really awlful cold spell that lasted 3 days. And 3-4 inches today mid February. Our winter will be over soon. I would not call it a horrible winter. You can not spend tons of extra money for 2 months out of the year. Most of these Northeast and Northwest states experience 4-5 months of winter(double the amount of ours)

Except for a freak storm, it has been a very mild winter. And the freak storm melted fast. This has not been a bad winter so far.

I agree. So WTF so they keep closing or delaying school?!? I would have no winter complaints of we could just all carry on. Aside from the M,T, W after the blizzard, everything else has been poppycock.

^^FCPS closing and delays have corresponded with EVERY County surrounding us. Except for 1 day during the snowzilla --1 day difference! MCPS even had a two hour delay last week and FCPS did not.

Rumor has it that FCPS will be announcing school is closed tomorrow morning after they assess the situation. I'm glad that at least my kids think they have a school delay and will get their work done tonight!

Where did you hear this rumor?

Conditions will be reassessed in the morning and if closure is necessary will be announced by approximately 6:15 am.

Well, this was in the email from FCPS, which leads me to think that the delay may not be the final word.
