Will FCPS be closed Tuesday?

I seriously doubt that! The rain and warmer temperatures will take care of it throughout the day on Tuesday. A delay/closing for Tuesday is likely though.

wjla says it won't be slick or icy on Tues morning... just wet b/c the rain is coming Mon afternoon and it will wash away the snow by Tues morning.

CWG upped their snow total estimate and I'm seeing 3-5 inches on my weather app. Not going to wash away with rain in time to go to school on Tuesday.

Closed.

no reason it can't be PLOWED, though. 3-5 inches is nothing compared to what we just dealt with.

A dusting of snow/rain won't have an effect on Tuesday. Even in the FCPS asylum.

I am in Arlington but the snow is more than I was expecting...have a bad feeling about a closure tomorrow.

I was just watching one of the local channels on tv and the weatherman said it would take 12-18 hours for it to start changing over to rain.

VDOT spokesperson on WTOP said the roads would be especially bad from 8 PM tonight until 8 AM tomorrow morning.

No school on tuesday. It's still cold and icy for the middle schoolers to go to school when they are expected to be in school by 7:30am.

Probably closed. At least a delay.

FCPS will be closed. You can put that in the bank.

I thought it is supposed to be very warm and rainy tomorrow so wouldn't it all wash away quickly

I'm a sahm who is about to go back to work. Telecommuting is not an option. What do all you working moms do for childcare when we have so many snowdays like we've had this year?

Yes--Which is why it will probably be a delay with a decision made about opening or closing made based on the early morning driving conditions.
