Had a good friend who was married almost 14 years to a great guy. She confided they rarely had sex, but everything else seemed to be good except some other problems with the inlaws. He made over 150k, and she didn't have to work. Ended up seeing a old bf from college and before you know it she was traveling to visit her family and really see him. It was shocking, lost sight of how good her life was.

Long story, but she ended up leaving her great husband for a dick. Within 10 mo that got old and it was another set of problems with the dick, and as the saying goes can't live on sex. She called me crying that she made a mistake, so I told her to try to get back with her husband. Very sad situation, he was done with her because he found out about the bf. After that it was financial problems.

I would weigh everything very carefully, every situation is different.

She is my best friend and keeps me from flying off the edge of the world. Her energy is so calm. She lets me be myself, accepts my flaws, keeps me sane in a hard world. We have interesting, deep conversations, but can be silly and light. I cannot imagine life without her.

Also, we have amazing sex and she's a great cook. But those are the wonderful extras. If she was a difficult person and hard to be with, those things would only be what was keeping me from leaving. The first paragraph is really what matters. I do believe tho that the great sexual connection is very related to our closeness.
