Handsome name. My associations with the teen-age witch are positive. But pretty vague. I think some people just watch too much tv.

No, it's not. Just because you couldn't convince your friends to stop calling you by your dumbass nickname doesn't mean baby Sabrina won't have a spine. |
| Brin was the nn of a friend. |

I love the name Sabrina! I don't think it will immediately get shortened to a nickname, particularly by people she just meets. It's nice to have some options that people closer to her can call her, like Sabs or Bree, but you wouldn't do that right off the bat.
Who cares about such an old show from the kid's parent's generation? Plus having witch powers is badass. |
| Sab or Sabs |

You do not get to control what she is called beyond her first few years of life- so if it would absolutely kill you for her to be called something that could be a nickname of Sabrina, you shouldn't name her that. that said, I think it's less likely to happen with a name like this.
Also the Sabrina the witch people are nuts! Seriously, the movie reference is far more timeless. No one will say "like the show?" No one. its not like it's a name no one used or heard of until that show. |
They won't say "like the movie?" either. The Audrey Hepburn movie was in 1954 (60+ years ago), and the 1995 remake was highly forgettable. |
Agreed but the point is, Sabrina is a real name. As opposed to, say, Katniss. |
