| I know a 6th grade Sabrina who is called Sabrini. |
Um, no. I'm 22 and have definitely heard about the show. Think about the people who had older siblings watching the show. |

NO, I wouldn't shorten it automatically. I work in daycare though, and people find ways to shorten/come up with a nickname for ALL names. I'd guess Sabrina would become "Bri-bri" where I work.
I have a Tatiana, and at first people tried to call her Tati. We just stuck with the full version and now everyone calls her that. |

Hi, OP
Sabrina is a lovely name and you should name her this because you love it, not because of the potential nickname problem. I named my daughter, "Madeleine" but I didn't like the nickname "Maddy". However, if she liked it than I would have called her what she preferred. In the end, she does prefer "Madeleine" but this is one thing among many things you can't control. You can always call her "Sabrina" but she might end up with a nickname totally unrelated to her name! Congratulations! |

Thanks all.
I think it's really interesting FWIW that people love to go to the Teenage Witch. Sabrina is also an Audrey Hepburn classic. |
| You can always stand strong without a nickname (we've done that) or start your own....if you don't like Bree. How about Abby? Rina? |
| My sil is sanbrina... No nickname. |
| The Sabrina I know is occasionally called Brina never Bree |
| The Sabrina I know is sometimes (not always) nicknamed Sab or Sabby. |
| I wouldn't try to give her a nickname. Sabrina is lovely. |
Babies born now are unlikely to have siblings who watched the show. |
| I know a Sabrina who goes by Sabi. |
| I know a Sabrina who doesn't have a nickname. |
| "Ree" is going to be her nickname. |
| No matter what the name is, somebody will eventually give her a nickname if they want to and she will decide whether to not it sticks. You can't control this past about age 3. |
