| We are almost 100% decided on Sabrina for our daughter, but I am worried about the nn potential as I generally dislike names with nicknames and especially dislike "Brie" or "Bree." would you try to shorten Sabrina? |

Sab
Rina |
|
First thing I thought of was Sab.. then that made me think of Sabra.. which lead to Hummus..
I think I'm just a hungry pregnant lady
|
| Bree |
| the teenage witch! |
| I don't know it will become a primary name, but I think nearly any name that isn't already shortened (Kate for Katherine) gets a nickname at some point. It may only be between friends (e.g. I have a friend named Ashton who we call Ash, or an Erica called Er), but yes, I bet she becomes a Bri at some point. That said, I don't think it should be a deal breaker. |
| If you choose a NN yeah but not automatically. I know 3 Sabrina's ... One goes by her full name, one is Sabs, one is Brina. |
| The teenage witch! Don't do this to her please for the love of god! |
| My friend Sabrina is called Saba by her husband. |
+1. |
I love the name Sabrina. That show ended in 2003. I don't think it's relevant to people under 30. |

My very good friend is named Sabrina and no one ever calls her anything but Sabrina. Even her DH when he's referring to her; I've never heard a "Bree" or Sab.." nicknameā¦
I think it's an awesome name |
| I would call Sabrina Sabrina, no nickname. |
| I know several Sabrinas- no NN. Lovely name! |
| The Sabrina I know always gets called Brina. |
