I was going to post this same exact thing. Wish I could erase it from my memory.

Awesome scene.

Anonymous wrote:Many scenes from Requiem for a Dream - Jared Leto's arm, the weird sex show scene with Jennifer Connolly and another woman, the pimp-drug supplier guy making Jennifer Connolly go down on him for H (she was so revolted and humiliated but did it anyway), the crazy Jared Leto mother scenes. That movie is impossible to wash off.

Slum dog Millionaire
The eye burning scene. Most disturbing thing I've ever seen.

Boogie Nights - Julianne Moore drunk/stoned crying after phone call about her daughter that apparently was taken away from her. Also the other actress (Heather Graham) calling Julianne Moore "Mom" when they were all emotional.

Terms of Endearment - the little boy putting the candy bar back when she doesn't have enough money to pay for groceries.

Muriel's Wedding - Muriel's friend suddenly becoming paralyzed "Muriel. I can't feel my legs." They were laughing hysterically, partying with their dates and then ... Ambulance time.

Totally with you.

Also, Boogie Nights: when he's jerking off for a John at the end of the movie. He used to be a glamorous star, and then he was reduced to that.

Boogie Nights on the whole AND scene by scene was about as disturbing as it was entertaining.

16 Candles - Popular kid cleans off his coffee table to find geeky kid stuck under it.

I must be PMSing because I'm tearing up thinking about all of these scenes. I also realize a lot of you must be close to my age: 43

"Heeeeeeere's, Johnny", from The Shining.

Someone already mentioned Terms of Endearment, but the scene in the hospital right before she dies, when her friend puts makeup (garish!) on her and her three children come in to say goodbye. I've never been able to put that memory away for good, especially after having children.

Requiem for a Dream: Jared Leto's arm

Dear God, I wish you hadn't brought that one up. I think I was scarred for life after that scene.

Almost Famous when they're on the bus singing Tiny Dancer and Kate Hudson does that magical thing with her hand and says, "you are home".

Brokeback Mountain, at the end when Heath Ledger visits Jake Gyllenhall's parents, and goes up to Jake's room and sees the shirts in the closet. :_-(

Agree about Starling in basement while Buffalo Bill wears the night goggles!

Young Frankenstein when they sing "Puttin' on the Ritz"

Schindler's List - so many scenes, I almost had to leave the theater I was so upset. But especially the scene of the little boy hiding in the sewage of the latrines.

Requiem for a Dream is one of the biggest mind trip movies in history, and a very good movie at that.

This.
To this day, I can't pass by a porta john without thinking of that scene.
