Also, in Silence of the Lambs, the scene with the cops after Hannibal Lecter got a hold of them.

And Shirley MacLaine yelling at the nurse in Terms of Endearment - "GIVE MY DAUGHTER THE SHOT!!!!"

Love Actually when Emma Thompson realizes DH is cheating on her--she goes into her room to cry through a Joni Mitchell song then puts on a happy face to take her kids to a school musical.

The candle reflection wavering in the window in several scenes in The Lovely Bones. Poignant when you've lost someone you love and wish you KNEW they were RIGHT THERE.

A young boy- Sean Astin's 'because we're goonies' speech and his cute lisp and lip quiver in The Goonies. So heartfelt.

"As you wish" as the Dread Pirate Robers/Westley rolls down the hill in The Princess Bride.

I feel like my fave scenes are childish/remind me of personal stuff- not that they are great acting moments.

I Still think Meryl Streep and Glenn Close are the same person, though.

OMG yes. I cry every time during that scene, though I am generally very stoic.

Sophie's Choice scene when she chooses her son and they take away her little girl.

The Ref when Lloyd argues back ("The corpse still has the floor") that Caroline blames him because she never wanted to do the tough job of actually making the decisions. I think about that a lot.

Atreyu's horse sinking in the swamp. Ugh...so sad.

Agreed, but did he kill him? Are we talking about Edward Norton doing the stopping, b/c he obviously got out. Or the younger kid, didn't he also do it?
