What movie scenes have stuck with you....

This scene almost caused me to vomit. I never want to see it again.

12 years a Slave had the same effect.

The final scene in Shawshank Redemption, when they reunite on the beach. That whole movie just kills me, that friendship can bloom anywhere.

"Its not your fault, son"

Also when Affleck realizes he's gone for good at the end. Never change the station when that one's on.

Great film.

There is a scene in a French movie called The Piano Teacher where she goes into the bathroom and starts cutting herself (down there) in the bath. Blood drips into the empty bath.

I had to leave the theater and go sit with my head between my knees in the bathroom, for fear of passing out. And there were other women in there having the same experience. One was actually throwing up.

Requiem for a Dream: Jared Leto's arm

Yes, the crying baby in Trainspotting haunts me. More so now, that I'm a mom.

Would be a more powerful scene if it was realistic AT ALL. Metal harness buckles don't break from 150 lb static loads.

Shawshank Red. when Andy says he was innocent on the outside, but became a criminal on the inside.

And "brooks was here" scribbled in the wooden beam..."and so was Red".

Forrest Gump is a cheesy film that does not hold up well.

But I love the moment before the wedding when Forrest sees Lt Dan walking.

And the image of the Bible with the hammer space hollowed out.

"You were right, salvation lay within."

To think the bastard warden held it in his hand!

Many scenes from Requiem for a Dream - Jared Leto's arm, the weird sex show scene with Jennifer Connolly and another woman, the pimp-drug supplier guy making Jennifer Connolly go down on him for H (she was so revolted and humiliated but did it anyway), the crazy Jared Leto mother scenes. That movie is impossible to wash off.

Slum dog Millionaire
The eye burning scene. Most disturbing thing I've ever seen.

Boogie Nights - Julianne Moore drunk/stoned crying after phone call about her daughter that apparently was taken away from her. Also the other actress (Heather Graham) calling Julianne Moore "Mom" when they were all emotional.

Terms of Endearment - the little boy putting the candy bar back when she doesn't have enough money to pay for groceries.

Muriel's Wedding - Muriel's friend suddenly becoming paralyzed "Muriel. I can't feel my legs." They were laughing hysterically, partying with their dates and then ... Ambulance time.

I love that scene.

Also, the fax machine scene in Office Space.

And, the scee at the end of Lincoln where his son is screaming in the theater because they announced that the president has been shot.

Totally with you.

Also, Boogie Nights: when he's jerking off for a John at the end of the movie. He used to be a glamorous star, and then he was reduced to that.

"First I play with Judd, then mommy came, and I play with mommy. We play daddy, we had a awful good time! Now, I want to play with you..."

ugh.....so creepy just reading it

then the sliced achilles heel from under the bed.

I jumped into my bed from three feet away for probably six months. Thanks, Stephen King and Pet Sematary
