Actually yeah. Some homes do just that. It's in their upfront agreement. My moms 40k a year pension wouldn't have covered her annual cost (8k a month). We just slowly were depleting her assets. She died before they ran out but the home my siblings picked absolutely would have kicked her out. Others have a fund to provide for patients who have paid for a long time but then run out of funds. Choose carefully. |
| We were in a similar situation. We found an angel of a lady who lived in my dad's house for a $2000 monthly allowance. She took round the clock care of him and he adored her. It's not easy, but those people are out there. Check with churches. |
