Well the front seat's broken and the axle's draggin'.
Now he's really mad he let her record the song of her career: "The House That Built Me" (which he had on hold and thankfully gave it to her. What a tragedy it would have been if he recorded it instead).

I don't really know anything about Blake Shelton, because country music sung by males has been terrible for at minimum 15 years, and I generally hate that the people who sing country music songs don't write them. But the first time I heard "The House That Built Me" I burst into tears. It is that good.

"Mama's Broken Heart" is also awesome.

So, Team Miranda here? Don't tell anyone.

You would like Kacey Musgraves if you don't already listen to her

So, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Trisha Yearwood, Reba, Shania, Carrie, Miranda, the list goes on, doesn't count?

If you are saying that radio plays too many male country singers, then you would be correct. If you have Sirius, listen to "The Highway" for 2 hours, you can probably count on one hand (maybe 2 if you are lucky) how many female solo artists are played. Remember the Martina McBride thread: http://dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/474393.page#7024062

TMZ has the allegations:

He believed she was unfaithful and filed for divorce

Maybe she did cheat, maybe not, but hilarious what an "anonymous source" (aka Blake's publicity team) had to say:

"Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband. I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman...he hasn’t cheated ever.”
Ah, so much good stuff here.

1. "I can guarantee you" Really? How am I supposed to believe that is even remotely possible?

2. Just had to chuckle at the Clinton-esque descriptor: "that woman..."

3. "Hasn't cheated ever." Except on his first wife. With Miranda.

None of this is-the-ring-on-or-off, who looks sadder know that they've announced their separation, when will they file stuff? Proves that celebrities can still have a degree of privacy in this day and age if they are committed to doing so. This was probably the 'stealthiest' celeb divorce since Katie Holmes dumped Tom Cruise.

I think it helped that in OK you can divorce in 2 weeks. It sounds like there was no required separation that had to be filed so there was nothing for the press to pick up until the judge signed the petition.

So many (country-centered) sites are calling this a shocker, but really, they've admitted often that they don't see each other that much, and they don't have any children, so it's not all that surprising that if wasn't going well. Seems like most people are pro-Miranda, as I am. She's so much more talented than he is.

As long as we're sharing, my personal favorite: http://youtu.be/02X8bX_EBv4

YES!! What did people expect? Whether he cheated on Miranda, Miranda cheated on him or it just didn't work.. it started out as an affair. Not exactly a strong foundation.

I wasn't much of a fan of her music. Especially not White Liar. Too twangy. However, The House That Built Me, and Automatic.. love them.

And the petition was filed under Blake's attorney's name (and then just the parties' initials). The judge also agreed that the case be sealed. We may never know the detes!

Miranda lost a whole lot of weight not long ago & looks much better than Blake does these days.

...but maybe he digs soft curves and was turned off by her slimmer figure?

Who knows? Who cares? They'll both be fine.

Why read the thread if you're this un-interested?

Oh come on. Be among the living. I'm not even a big fan of country music but these two have about 20 million Twitter followers, he's on TV about 6 hours a week on a top-rated network show and they have a wagon-full of Grammys, songs of the year, albums of the year, vocalist of the year etc etc awards. And they have a slew of #1 singles. Google has over 1000 articles on them just today. Are you the same pps who don't know who Bryce Harper is?

TMZ reports .... Now Miranda says it wasn't me it was Blake who cheated. Either way crummy of Blake's team to throw Chris Young under the bus.

Please. I don't follow country music at all, and yet I still know who Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are as well as Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. (And, of course, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman). I mean, c'mon.

Right - you'd think someone posting in the entertainment and pop culture forum would have at least some interest/knowledge of pop culture.

This isn't my idea of "pop culture," as I hate country music.

I was simply curious. However, this thread is a yawn fest.

I really like Chris Young and I also thought it was gross to drag him into it. That doesn't seem like his style plus he has said that he was not involved in the break up of Blake and Mirandas' marriage. I tend to believe Chris.

Not that it matters. Hopefully they can avoid being nasty to each other so there won't be a lot of awkward and bad feelings.
