The collective egos of Adam Lambert and Blake (both of whom I initially enjoyed) and the blah of Xtina and the really too sweet, vanilla Pharrell ruined The Voice for me. But mostly it was the on and on and on mindless, ego-infused Blake/Adam banter that killed it off totally.

if you think Pharrell is vanilla, you don't much about his body of work beyond 'Happy'. see also: Drop It Like It's Hot

Correction, I think Pharrell is remarkably talented. But on the Voice he comes across as plain vanilla (and remarkably seems over shadowed by the Blake/Adam antics).
