Just chiming into say I currently have very short hair (post chemo actually) and have gotten more male compliments in the street about my hair and my looks with a pixie than I did with longer hair. Just thought it was a relevant data point given Dr. Laura above.
Hello- are there no apps out there where you take a picture of your face and put different hairdos on it? I did this on a computer at a hair salon in like 1990 or something. PS I was given a "surprise" pixie my first year of college by a hair stylist I'd never been to. I didn't ask for it, but lo, he gave it to me. Surprise! I didn't hate it, but grew it out anyway. To someone who's used to having longer hair and doing things with it, I was always trying to pull my hair back and do thing with the phantom hair that wasn't there. Like, tuck it behind an ear. Use lipstick and earrings to look more feminine if you want.
I have very thick, coarse hair. When it's long, it looks marvelous when it's properly styled. However, because it takes hours and gobs of product to keep it in line, I went pixie a few years ago. I LOVE IT. It's like a Persian rug was removed from my head. Takes three minutes to do my hair in the morning. No wicked hair clogs in the shower. The right stylist can create a pixie out of any type of hair. You have to get haircuts more frequently, and your face has to be on point all the time. But it's a huge time-saver and can draw a lot of attention to good facial features. Do it. If you don't like it, it'll grow back.
13:22, where do you get your hair cut? How do you keep it from being a puffy-pixie? More frequent haircuts?
