pixie hair cut

Anonymous
I'm 31 with a roundish oval face and fairly nice features. I'm thinking of getting a pixie like the below.

My concern is growing it out later.

Look at pictures of Heather Armstrong, from Dooce. She had a pixie cut and posted pics of her hair growing it out.

Must have a pretty face to pull this off. Try a wig, first.

From OP...Thanks. My face is not as long as her's.

It is a cute cut. To pull this off you need a very feminine face, no double chins, good cheekbones etc or you risk looking masculine / old.

I only say this because I could wear this cut for years and years and no I can't because I am 46 and it would make me look butch. That's ok if you want to look butch, but I don't.

Op again. Yes, I want to try it once. I want to do it before I look too old.

No double chin!

You may need to change how you dress slightly. I wore dresses a LOT when my hair was this short and actually I wore more eye make up.

OP again. Thanks. Good to know.

I'm 5'7", 132, and busty.

Men hate short hair. Don't do it to yourself. Other women are urging it on you just to sabotage you.

This is BS. Lots of men like short hair.

Agreed. My husband loves short hair, when it's chic and stylish as opposed to conservative "mom hair." Done right, and on the right face, it can look stunning and really sets you apart.

Why on earth do you think OP cares what men think?
