NYU for a preppy waspy girl?

Thought i'd chime in as someone who identifies with the traditional 'preppy' image. NYU is the last place for a true prep. I went to school in Boston for a year and a half before transferring because I wanted to be more among my people. NYU is a school for people who, as it was put, want to expand their horoizons and be exposed to many cultures. Preppy culture is exclusive and relies on nautical and leisure culture. A school in a big coastal city like New York is going to be more cosmopolitan and European club culture, which is the antithesis of prepdom. Chose wisely.

couldn't disagree more. NYU is far mor diverse than you suggest. Like NY itself, there'd us a place for everyone.
