Wasn't he a police officer, too? Did another independent agency "clear" him? |
Why are people on the list serv calling it a home invasion? |
Ditto- lovely lady. On my way home from yoga in del ray a little while ago and passed at least 4 unmarked cars. |
he was the sheriff of alexandria. technically, the sheriff's department and the police department are separate law enforcement agencies. i'm not saying he didn't have anything to do with it, i'm just clarifying that the police never named the sheriff as a suspect or a person of interest. |
I read on other websites/blogs that people are saying it was the caretaker's husband or boyfriend.. does anyone know any info about the caretaker? ALso was Ruthanne married, divorced, etc? |
I don't know if Ruthanne was married/divorced/widowed, but I did read a statement from a neighbor that the only other person who lived in the house (besides Ruthanne and possibly the caretaker) was her elderly mother. |
Here's a piece of info from the NBC4 article I didn't know: "Ruthanne Lodato is reportedly the daughter of a prominent judge."
Nancy Dunning was married to the sheriff (at the time), Ruthanne Lodato is the daughter of a prominent judge..does Ron Kirby have any direct/indirect connection to the criminal justice system? |
Quoting my own post..the neighbor statement may have been incorrect..from what I can find so far she was married. My heart breaks for the family. ![]() |
Could the shooter be related in some way to the caretaker, like an ex boyfriend of the caretaker, goes to her work, and then.....
Awful awful story. She was a really nice lady. |
NBC4 also reported that her father, a prominent judge, died years ago. |
Ok, so? If the suspect was someone who had been sentenced by the judge (say, 30 years ago), they could still be holding a grudge even if the judge passed away years ago. Lodato's brother is a retired judge as well. |
Darn you!! Now I'm going to have a new obsession ![]() |
What if Lodato's mother (unharmed during the incident) was the intended target? She's the wife of a (late) prominent judge. Nancy Dunning was the wife of the sheriff (at the time). |
I live right down the street and swear around midnight I heard helicopters again, but could have been my imagination. |
8:23- you did. I was up and heard them, too. Surprising amount of police presence, too. More unmarked cars when I left for work this morning. |
