You must have done something to it - you bought at the top of the market and it has tripled?

We are in our early 30s bought with 5% down because of low rates.

Are you sure about the current value? Even most tear downs in 20814 are going for closer to $1 million.

Yes.
Yard size (and lot topography) in neighborhood don't lend itself to a teardown neighborhood, but rather a nice brick colonial and large nice brick cape neighborhood where homes are outgrown, and either added onto or turned over and added on to. We have 3 bed and 1 bath up, so not near $1M.

The close to $1M lots are several blocks walkable to B Row. We are about just under a mile to B. Row.

I also live in 20001. Prices are MUCH higher now than 2006. On our block top prices in 2006 were close to $400k. They are now close to $800k. (And we live in a part of 20001 where there aren't the huge 4 story homes). I bought in 2003 for $200k.

1937 Cape Cod in 20901. Bought in 1996 for $196K.

Put on $230K addition in 2008.

Now worth $625K.
