Sponges are disgusting. They harbor bacteria. If they've been sitting out over night, then they have bacteria. |
| Why was this 3+ year old thread revived? |
Do you use a new sponge every day? |
| I'd have sent those mugs back in little, itty bitty pieces. Holy crap. I don't care if this is three years old. |
NP. I never use sponges. Nasty! |
How do you handwash dishes? |
| NP, but I use a plastic scrub brush on a handle and soapy water. Once used, the brush gets thrown in the automatic dishwasher with each cycle. |
| I never realized I was so attached to mugs until this thread, and I never would've thought someone would come into a house and toss them! I commandeered an old mug (I think came from my dad's office, but who knows) that I used from about age 7 onward for hot chocolate every winter. Hot chocolate never tastes better than when it's in that mug. My parents still don't know that I took it when I moved cross country. I was looking at it today and just thinking how mad I'd be if my MIL destroyed it! |
So that's why you revived this ancient thread? |
This thread was revived a week before I commented on it. Get a life. |
Well, I'm not the one who revived it, but it's kind of a DCUM classic, like twincest is for Dear Prudence. |
I remember this thread too! I'm anticipating the day "pregnant, swimming with dolphins" thread comes back to life. |
Agreed - especially since this is exactly the type of things my MIL and FIL would do. LAst Christmas they threw away a bunch of my daughter's toys claiming the package had been stolen from their house. Only when I filed a police report did they confess - they decided my beautiful wooden imaginative play toys were too boring and substituted it all for some plastic crap with frozen stickers on it. We made it clear that this would be the last Christmas at their house. Some people are just controlling and crazy. She probably thought she was doing you a favor. |
A friend's MIL dug up her wildflower garden and had roses planted there. My friend hates roses. |
Sometimes you just need to let the mug go. |
