The Sidwell parents involved were bickering on DCUM even before the lawsuit was filed check out this from a now locked thread
The poster is a soon to be ex-husband of a Sidwell parent. He had an affair (with a GDS married mom) and when it was discovered he asked the Sidwell mother for a divorce. She said, great, let's move on. Months went by and then when she later met a single man, who happened to be a Sidwell employee, the husband went crazy and tried to get the poor Sidwell employee fired in addition to trying to get custody of the poor Sidwell kids. I will focus on the kids...the kids NEVER would have known anything about their mother's relationship with the Doc if daddy-dearest hadn't paid a PR firm to make sure the world knew all of the salacious details.
And FYI, there was zero evidence that any "banging" occurred in the hotel, Terry. To the contrary everyone who testified about the hotel stay testified that no sex occurred in the hotel. But who cares about facts when there are children's lives that can be destroyed for revenge? As someone close to Terry once said of him, Terry is never happy unless he is stepping on someone's throat. Certainly true. And in this case, the throats are five and eight years old. |

| As an outsider, my view on this has changed completely. I think the entire "scandal" is the result of of creepy older man. Though Mrs. S may have a role too. I really feel sorry for Tara and the girls. |

Both parties have behaved badly, but without question, dad's behavior makes Dick Cheyney look benign. Are you kidding? It's not even a close comparison. Dad was the one who went public with this private story, airing those dirty sheets as far and wide as he could. And then put her in a position where she lost everything, including the will to live. What should the mom do at that point? What might the "correct" action be if it were you and your kids, your reputation? I don't know...the whole thing is super ugly, but the idea of little kids being with that guy and his flippant sarcasm that only the super wealthy can get away with in a courtroom seems way wrong. And what's with the sunglasses?
