I have 8 kids, ask me anything!

OP I don't have any questions. But I think its great that you have a large family. I hate pregnancy so its not for me. But if pregnancy wasn't so harsh for me, I would have a kid every other year.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Pregnancy is harsh. I had third degree tears to prove it, and yet I managed to squeeze out a second a few years later.

But 2 was my limit.

So if "pregnancy" is not for you, neither is having kids, dumb ass.

And you do know that these "poisonous BC pills" can be replaced with condoms. I've been married 9 years; I have 2 kids. Condoms work.

You are so right. Should I send my kid to your house so you can adopt him? I am an unfit mother because I cannot deal with hyperemesis for another 9 months. I cannot afford to stop working for another 9 months. And I have no one to manage everything should I become incapacitated and unable to care for my child and household duties. You are sooo right. Please come pick up my kid right now. But before you do, be sure to spew your venom to women who have terminated because it got to be too much for them. While they are in their sorrows, be sure to tell them how they would be unfit anyway and you had 3rd degree tears.

You are just envious. Your life is miserable, and you hate that someone else is happy with their choices. You might have kids without TTC woes, but something is making you a miserable witch. Seek help because it's probably adding wrinkles to your face, and we don't know how ugly you are. There is no need to make it worse.

NO ONE is envious of people with eight children. It's like a train wreck. Try to look away but you can't. And then be glad it's not you.

"My husband and I. Our youngest is almost 3 now so the hard work of changing diapers, feedings, and such are disappearing."

ANOTHER grammar mistake! OP, did you attend a disadvantaged high school? Hope your kids are getting a better education than you had.

Neither of us are poorly educated.

'Neither" takes a singular verb, e.g., neither of us is.. Obviously, you did not pay attention in high school English grammar.

Groucho Marx once responded to contestant wbo said she had 12 children because she loved her husband, I love my cigar too, but I take it out once in awhile."

Yes, but her husband makes more than twice what my husband makes--wow!

You know, I've thought about having a "I'm C9BL, ask me anything!" thread, but I was always too afraid I would be permanently emotionally scarred from the experience. I think I'll stay relatively low-key

I do have a question for you, OP! We have nine children (so far) because we are open to life, but you mentioned you use birth control and actively chose this particular number. How do you reconcile that with your Baptist faith? I know some Baptists are open to life, some not--a dear friend from law school days was the youngest of 14, and her dad was a Baptist pastor. What is your theology?

Thanks! Life is beautiful

While we do try to tie our religion into our every day life we realize that we can't do everything strictly by the bible. We make our decisions based off of what will work best for our family and what we believe is right. I know that my God will stand behind us and accept the choices we make because he gave us the ability to choose for a reason. He wants us to live our life in a way that is fulfilling yet aims to please and accept him. I think we do a good job of that with the 8 kids we do have. I don't need to go without birth control and have 20 kids to prove that I aim to please and obey him. He knows and accepts my decisions I'm sure. As long as I continue to have him on my side, all is good

He makes about 300k a year. Give or take depending on how his business did that year.

Well, this response explains everything. No need to ask any more questions.

God's on my side too, and He smiles down on me every morning as I take my BC pill.

Really, folks, why are you purposefully slamming this woman? Are you insecure with your own life choices? I know the grammar police have their fun on DCUM, but the posts here are going way beyond that.

OP, ignore the haters. I applaud you for not sinking to their level.

My question- what's your typical grocery bill? (weekly or monthly?)

It's unbelievable that these women are SO PICKY about grammar. Do they not realize this is just some silly internet forum? Why do I need to go over each and every little thing I say to make sure it doesn't go against all of these grammar rules. Yes, yes, I know grammar is important but come on! These ladies are just picking apart what I say to be rude and annoying.

Monthly we spend about $1000. I try to stay under that but it usually ends up there.

Hope your 17 year old can write better than this, it's childish.

I'm not sure why they are attacking me but oh well. If they want to spend their day being bitter and rude, more power to them.

Yes, the angry poster is envious. Envious because of her inability to procreate naturally. She is barren, and belongs in the angry TTC club. Probably foreign too...study a few years of grammar that no one gives a fuck about, and they think they know everything. They missed the overall point of communication...to be understood. We all understand OP and have probably made the same errors....no one cares. Now go sit and cry about your uterus.

Thank you! I didn't know this was English class where everything had to be top notch perfect. I'm getting my point across and I'm understood, why do I need to make sure everything is perfect??
