OK, I'm not the PP with the quote that was put in bold, but can someone explain why this is LOL funny? An 8-year-old can make funnier "snappy comebacks" than "we are." Seriously, it deserves an eyeroll. |

First poster is attention whoring in a typical girl fashion. Please, please, please tell me that I'm not fat/ugly/stupid. She is accusing the "mean girls" of being insecure, while running her own screaming insecurities up the flagpole for the whole world to see. I wasn't thinking bad things about her until she begged for reassurance. Second poster gave her a sarcastic response, rather than feeding her needy ego trip. It was funny to me, probably because I was thinking bad things about first poster and her epic display of neediness. |
+1 And then when you call out the bigots it gets really ugly. |
Good luck! If it's University of Cincinnati say hi to the Bearcats for me! |
Exactly! (I'm the "We are" poster.) |
Truth be told, it depends. Are you fat? Do your kids go to a public rather than a Big 3 private? Do you live in a place other than upper-NW/Bethesda-Chevy Chase? Answers other than no, no, and no, will get many of us starting to think horrible things. |
Do you take anything said on this board to heart? If you do, I'm going to think horrible things about your intelligence and psychological health. |
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the famous snark from posters who claim they're smarter than the rest of us. You can pick your jaws off the floor now.

So clever, no? |
THIS is why I love DCUM. The ironies are endless. |
Thanks! We'll be here all week! |
You really know how to rock those snappy comebacks! |
You really rock those snappy comebacks. No wonder you think you're so smart.... |
| Ooops, durn iPhone. |
