Chefs/Tv-food Personalities you hate??

Not a fan of Paula Deene (apart from anything else, her politics are suspect) or Guy Fieri. I don't quite get all the Rachel Ray hate, though--she's always seemed entirely harmless to me.

Sandra Lee, of course, is in a league of her own.

I'm southern, so I think Paula Deen is probably one of those women who waits until someone's back is turned and immediately says, "Bless his heart . . . [insert insult here]."

Op here. I am Southern as well. I feel the same way about Paula Deen!

I actually like Christopher Kimball and Bridget Lancaster on ATK. But my all-time favorite is Ming Tsai. He and I are almost the same age and I later found out that my mother and his mother have known each other from their college days. Also like Mark Bittman and Eric Ripert.

Don't like Paula Dean, Rachel Ray and Mary Ann Esposito.

Not on Food Network but I like Andrew Zimmeren (Sp?) He is very cool (Imo) and I also like the guy who goes to restaurants and eats massive amounts or super-spicey (etc.)

I think Curtis Stone looks like a drag-queen but good personality.

The heavy brunette judge on Chopped is annoying to me.

Roco Dispirito is a cutie but he seemed immature on that show he used to be on.

Because he looks like Jane Lynch!

He lied, but he's still around - with new programs! Go figure.

I love Curtis Stone, but I always think those women's husbands would actually be pretty pissed if their wives picked up a hot guy at the grocery store and then came home and cooked with them all day. And then the husband comes home and the two of them are like "we made dinner for you!"

I love Gordon Ramsey and Mario Batali, too. Also Rick Bayless and Anthony Bourdain.
I can't stand Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, Giada, and Paula Deen.

Really? Interesting! I had no clue he had lied.

Giada was cheating on her hubby with John Mayer. That's all I needed to hate her!

Yes he is. And he talks too damn much. But that's probably what the ladies like and it makes them feel special.

Giada is not named for a disease. That's giardia. Giada is Italian for "jade."

I hate Sandra Lee so much I turned a corner and actually liked her because hating her brought me so much pleasure. She's amazing. I once saw her peddle something called "tropical rice" which was minute rice with dried pineapple, mango and bananas in it. YUM!! And her amazing Kwanzaa cake, festooned with Corn Nuts. I used to do Pinterest and my Pinterest board with alcoholic drinks was called "Aunt Sandy's Cocktail Time" after Sandra Lee's requisite cocktail per episode and how she loves to talk about Stephanie and Brycer and how much they love their Aunt Sandy. She's so bad, she's amazing. She's my fave.

YES. THIS. I can't believe how well you expressed something I feel so strongly about. Love that show. Or is it shows? I love the one where she goes out of her way not to cook, and also the one where she tries to spend as little money as possible to put out skimpy, nasty food. And I especially love the Aunty Sandy comments. Must tape some of her shows.

I loved years ago when she mangled a perfectly beautiful store bought cheesecake with a melon baller to make cheesecake bites. Dying to know what she did with the scraps in between.
