Chefs/Tv-food Personalities you hate??

Anonymous
I love Lidia! Joe, too.
Anyone watch Debi Mazar's show on Cooking Channel, Extra Virgin? Her family is so cute and she looks damn good. She has to be near 50 and looks better than most 30YO I know.

Also love Kelsey from Kelsey's Essentials and Laura Calder from French Food at Home.

Cooking Channel has the best shows nowadays, not Food Network.

Guy Fieri, Paula, Rachel, etc. are just designed to appeal to the broadest audience possible. I do like seeing where Guy goes on his roadtrips bc I love dives. I just hate his personality.

So bizarre...I didn't click on this before, but when I opened this, I find several people quoting one posting from last year...boy that poster sounds just like me...and then I remembered...it was me.

So agree. Jacques' daughter is just the worst.

Don't like Paula Dean, Rachel Ray and Mary Ann Esposito.

LOL, Mary Esposito. Ugh, she grates my nerves. That voice, that voice. Thank God I don't have to live or work with her.

I love the combo of Christopher Kimball and Bridget Lancaster. And I'm crazy about Jaimie Oliver and Lidia Bastianich.

On my semi-hate list is the AA couple, I can't remember their names. They ooze sexual innuendo their entire show, it would be kinda cute if they inserted a little in every now and then, but no, they go way overboard without throughout the show. Paula Deen discovered them. I had watched Paula Deen's show always with awe at the amount of fat and sugar she was using and eating at the end of the episode. Enjoying browsing through her cookbooks. Really stopped watching her after the diabetes announcement.

Rachel Ray just can't stand her, she's so swap meet.

Grates on your nerves, not grates your nerves. Is "grates my nerves" a regional thing? Guess what I think is so swap meet?

Clearly you need to get a life.

Sometimes people have typos, y'know? I don't think we all proofread our posts like we're submitting them to work.

Nah. There's a grates my nerves poster out there - he/she uses this expression all the time. I guess I find it ironic/clueless that someone who accuses another of being so swap meet is swap meet him/herself. That was my point. But one PP is right. I don't have much of a life but clearly those who are posting here don't either. Ha. So there.

Isn't that why you have private lessons?

Patti from the show "Patti's Mexican Table" on PBS. OMG. Her voice alone makes me change the channel.

Thank you, pp, it was a typo.

I was watching the food network yesterday and totally forgot about Pioneer Woman. I love Ree Drummond.

Anthony bourdain. I liked his book, but on TV he seems like a self satisfied idiot.

Claudine Pepin is so annoying. She ruins every segment she does with her big mouth and dumb questions. Now that Jacques is older she really bugs the shit out of him and ruins everything. She needs to keep her big mouth and nose shut and stay off camera.
