Do you shower everyday?

I shower five days a week. I may be the first to use the too busy excuse. I cant shower before work because it would wake everyone up, but I usually shower at night. Every once in a while, I don't fit it in.

I shower 1x times 2x a day. No exceptions, no excuses.

You get a gold star. Btw, why don't you shower every hour? What is so magical about 24 hour cycle re: shower?

I shower every other day, sometimes once every 3 days. My hair always looks nice, I don't need to wash it every day. I have dry skin so showering too much isn't great for me.

Shower every 2-3 days in the cold season, but I wash my privates at least once a day (always after BM). Wash hair every 3-4 days.
Summer - daily showers.

What do you do after a BM at work? Serious question.

BM at work only if it can't be avoided. I wash the minute I get home. Serious answer.

Is it on your mind the whole time between the BM and when you get home?

It's nice to hear someone appreciates what most of us take for granted.

I shower daily but wash my hair every other day unless I do a cardio workout.

Those of you who don't shower - do you exercise? If so and you don't shower after, gross.

I shower every night before bed. If I work out earlier in the day or have an event on a weekend night after running around all day I'll shower before the event (and again before bed).

This thread kind of creeps me out. People are waay too uptight about their bodies.

Before I had kids (pre mid 30s) I showered most days, but would sometimes skip. Always after working out, though. I have moderately greasy skin, nothing terrible, but the skipped day wasn't that big a deal.

Once pregnant, though, wow, did my skin ever change! While pregnant and when nursing, I found that I could go several days without showering (not immediately postpartum, btu after say the first 2 months or so).

Now, I work out 3 times a week, and shower and wash hair those mornings. I get the most compliments on my hair and outfits the days I don't shower. I would skip SAturdays as a normal day off, btu I typically now also skip sundays. I wouldn't go to work 2 days without showering, but no one would ever suspect.

On super hot days if I'm running around a lot (I mean seriously: it's not like I'm doing manual labor in the fields, I work in an air conditioned office for pete's sake), I may take a quick shower. I have longish, full hair, so it's a pain to wash.

I think this excessive showering is really weird, and a bit obsessive. People need to live in their environment, you know, not remove themselves from it.

And good gravy, no we don't have bed bugs, nor am I in immediate danger of catching flesh eating bacteria. Quite honestly, I bet we're a lot healthier than you all (in terms of allergies, etc). I think modern life and a fixation on cleanliness is detrimental to our immune systems, to be honest with you.

When I came here from Europe I was appauled at how poor American's hygiene was. Friends didn't shower regulary or wash their hair and they kept their room/house nasty and filthy.

I shower every morning -- I just can't wake up without a shower (and the accompanying 10 minutes of quiet!). Some people need coffee to get going in the morning, I need a shower.

Thank you for being so honest. And senseless, and dirty.

I sort of agree that some people's fixation on cleanliness borders on the obsessive. I shower most days, but if I skip now and again it's no big deal. I don't sweat much and always use deodorant. My hair looks better when I wash it, but on days I skip I just pull it off my face with a clip or ponytail. Brush teeth, spot wash critical areas, use a good toner and moisturizer on my face and I'm good to go.

Now one thing I never skimp on is washing hands. I'm convinced it has saved me from many colds and viruses.
