Obama doesn't have to show it because the wingnuts have no legitimate need to see it. There is no legal or constitutional issue, according to the courts, all the way up to the Supreme Court. So the only reason he "needs" to do it is to indulge the delusional fantasies of the birthers. And frankly, those people were never going to vote for him.

Any sane person would hold it back just to drive the nutjobs crazy. If you all have a problem with that, take it to court. It's better that you spend your money on lawyers than arming your little militia compound off in the woods.

He IS an American. That part is not in dispute. His mother is American.

The question is whether he qualifies as Natural Born Citizen. Three lawsuits have made it to the Supreme Court and been dismissed - and it was the court prior to Obama's election. So the highest law of the land says this issue is done. They had THAT information prior to the election.
