You people do realize that not ALL black people were born in Africa, right...? |
My mother lives with us and I am looking at the documents in question and one is an original birth certificate from Louisiana which I received in 2003 and the other is an original Certificate of Live Birth also issued by Louisiana and not by Barksdale Air Force Base. If you haven't seen these then how can you tell me I am confused? At the time my mother was born, 1941, it is obvious that Louisiana issued an original Certificate of Live Birth because her parents gave her this when she turned 18. . I am not confused but you are and you really do not know everything there is to know. |
why wouldnt his grandparents put the announcement in their paper, even if the grandson was born in Kenya? |
They might but it lists their address in Hawaii. |
Why would the announcement say he was born in Hawaii if it wasn't true? Were his grandparents also part of the evil, un-American conspiracy? |
They say there is a long-form Obama birth certificate. NOW LET'S SEE IT. And there won't have to be all this circuitous b.s. |
Why is there a need for circuitous BS in the first place? Has Obama given us reason to think he wasn't born in the US? No. Except the imagined reasons, most of which have to do with the color of his skin. Can you prove you're not a mass murderer to my satisfaction? NO?!?!?! I guess you are then, right? |
Why not show it?......because it doesn't exist. Just admit it. |
I'll you show mine if you show me yours. Are you fucking serious??? How do we know Obama's a man? Has he whipped his dick out? NO! Let's demand he does that. Did you insist that every other sitting President show his birth certificate? Are you demanding evidence that McCain is an American born citizen, despite being born in Panama? If the answer to either of these questions is, "No," then I implore you to explain why. Furthermore, showing it would only lend credence to the outlandish and racist accusations. Should Obama also have to "prove" he's not a Muslim or a terrorist or a socialist or a communist or whatever other nonsense has been leveled at him? No. To do so would legitimize the ridiculous. Lastly, it's not Obama who is refusing to show anything. He has offered the necessary evidence to all relevant parties to demonstrate his legitimate standing as the president. You want a politician or hospital administrator to violate doctor/client privilege and release information to satiate your blood lust. There are many reasons not to show it. You have to demonstrate good reason why he should. You have failed to do so. Fail on your part. When one makes a positive assertion, the burden of proof falls to that person. You have asserted that Obama is not a legitimate President because he was not born in this country. As such, you must prove that he wasn't. He doesn't have to prove to you that he was just because you decided to level libel and slander at him. |
The issue is not whether or not Obama (or whomever else shows it). The issue is why do so many people insist that he has not. I'm only 27, so I've only lived through a handful of Presidencies. Never in my lifetime have I heard such claims made about a President. I've never read or heard stories about it happening previous to my lifetime. As such, it stands out as patently absurd that suddenly, upon the election of the first Head of State of color, such accusations are being thrown around. Why do you believe he's not American born? Why do you ignore all the evidence that has been offered to demonstrate that he has? Why do you conjure up imagined evidence to the contrary? Why are you conspiratorial? |
Because it's all they've got to whip up. As somebody who lived through the Clinton insanity (travelgate, Foster, cigars), some part of the conservatives' strategy is to let a group of nutcases (or even some perfectly rational party hacks who know how to whip up the party nutcases) dedicate themselves to bringing down dem politicians by whipping up crazy conspiracy theories using whatever material comes to hand. I guess he hasn't given them any other fodder besides this birth certificate stuff. Unlike, say, W with his national guard duty, but I guess the dems just aren't as effective. |
But it's more than that. Yes, there is something inherently vitriolic about our political system at this point. And, yes, the right does seem to resort to a certian degree of ugliness. But Presidents have always had to face attacks based on extramarital relationships or shady dealings. This is something entirely different. And to deny that race is a factor is problematic. I'm not saying you are doing that. But this is bigger than just "politics as usual". |
Look, he doesn't have along form birth certificate. Just admit it. |
Come on. A president stuffing a cigar in an interns cooch in the oval office and then trying to label her a stalker until his sperm stain appeared is the greatest, most embarrassing and clear view into a persons character that has ever occured. |
Look, you're crazy and you're trying to get attention on DCUM. Just admit it. |
