Did you see the number of youth national team id players that came from GA recently? US soccer is starting to roll out its plan. Maybe this time they wont try to implement free soccer. I could see a situation where NWSL stops looking at new locations and free stadiums and refocuses on player quality.

All I am saying is that if my daughters team won the division and her Coach decided he still needed to take two ECNL girls who are not joining the team next year along as guests while others sat on the bench, I would have some thoughts

iunno they are freaking out in the 2028 commit thread. If the word is out not to pull from the ecnl pond locally clubs wont have much reason to stay ecnl.

Clubs should make sure the team is as competitive as possible for an event as competitive and expensive as the playoffs.

As long as no rules were broken you are correct. I’m not saying there was any wrongdoing.

ECNL clubs don’t want GA players to carry them though….

Do you think it’s good advertising for the GA that mediocre to below mediocre ECNL clubs switched to that league and all of a sudden are national contenders? I don’t think so.

US Soccer did play politics (roster was half GA/half ECNL) on the last trip for that age group though and the team got punished. Probably won’t make that mistake again.

You give US Soccer too much credit. They most certainly will continue pulling from GA. They are smarter than everyone else. Have you not been watching the amazing decisions US Soccer makes? Their arrogance is off the charts.
