Yes. Miss the playoffs and go to the beach instead. I’m sure that will go over well with teammates.

Teammates won’t care. More playing time for them. When you look back in 5, 10 years you will be glad you spent family time and will chuckle at how little importance the U13 summer soccer tournament has.

You can also turn this into your vacation by bringing the family and doing touristy things in between games.

Also the teammates may not care, but if you are one of the lower half players of the team you may lose playing time next season over your lack of commitment.

If you are a lower half player your playing time is less if you skip it or not. Just like if you are one of the stars playing time is not changed by missing. Coaches play their best players/favorites regardless of attendance.

I have seen this also. Best players can skip practice for other trainings/ events and still start and play most of the games.

Pretty sure it's like anything else, as long as the players added aren't playing with another team in the same playoffs.

Typically, if these teams have to add a player, it's because a players can't make the trip or is injured. They can't add outside of club players or other GA players. If they did add a guest player (which is not uncommon) they would have to pull from the 2nd team or a younger aged player. There would be a cutoff for a roster submission, but I don't know what that was.

They can add from outside the club and they do. Nothing wrong with that either.

It would have to be approved by the league. If the governing league allows it, it goes.

You must be talking about yourself for not knowing anything. I know GA rules. If GA approves it, it's approved. You can complain or be jealous or whatever but it won't help. Maybe write to GA and complain but the powers that be would have to approve something like this and apparently they did.

Because soccer journeys are highly individual, it's not surprising that you have players competing in both the GA and ECNL.
