No, but telling us that we aren’t doing enough unless we do x y, or z is. |
Ok ive experienced this (one neighborhood mom said a whole bunch of openly racist in front of me) and I handled it by never befriending her, referring to her as "racist mom" to my husband and sharing her words with lots of other neighbors. Probably not the best but that's what i ended up doing. |
| when someone starts the sentence with that phrase, thats when I call it out, full stop! Tell them not to go any further. |
Well apparently you can't read either. Zero percent chance your husband is black. Zero. Just looking for something snotty to say to someone you don't know about something you know nothing about. So dumb. |
You sound dim. It is not offensive at all. Latinx on the other hand....https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/many-latinos-say-latinx-offends-or-bothers-them-here-s-ncna1285916 |
It's a stereotype moreso than racist. |
Stop using “Latinos” !! It’s Latinx people! |
Mexicans isn't a race. It's a nationality. Is your husband Mexican, OP? If not, how does he feel with you lumping him in with other Latino people? |
Go back to 2022, its day is over. |
That ... doesn't make a lick of sense. |
Block her number and move on. There is no reason to associate with this person in any way. |
| I think you handled it perfectly. And no, I would not respond to her text; I'd leave it on read. If for some reason I had to interact with her ever again, which I'd do my best to avoid, I would treat her as a stranger. No smiles, no how are you, no small talk, just get through the interaction and quickly move on. |
Yeah, Latinx is the new fetch |
lol Stop trying to make Latinx happen |
Are you serious? |
