What Baby Names Do You Love?

And, I'm sorry to the one poster, I have never, NEVER heard piper = BJ. We've done all the drinking games for naming every private part (the last one stumped has to drink) and have heard it all. Piper may have some meaning in some particular subset. But, def not mainstream.

Piper is not even close to being on the same wavelength as "dick." Not even close.

Our kids are older (tween and teens), so they have more classic names, which were popular, though not ubiquitous, then. I love their names, but if I were naming a baby today, I'd go with something a little less classic and a little more sassy -- Ruby or Stella for a girl, Charlie for a boy.

Girl- Sophie, Stella, Lucy, and hey, I really do like Piper too.
Boy- Henry, Max, Raymond.

I have 2 boys, not named the above. I am always sure I'm done having kids until I think of a little Lucy running around with her big brothers.

Piper is cute and I've never heard the BJ innuendo, despite hanging out with some lovely but immature people - the same people who dissuaded me from using Rosie as a girl's name b/c they tell me it's well known that it means hand job.

Isn't "Piper' one of the names of Palin's kids?

Charlie isnt sassy - its a classic diminutive of Charles and its my son's name. I love Charlie (and Charles for the proper name).

I was wondering the same thing. If it's pronounced like Mina, that's nice. Minna is nice too, but it reminds me of the Seinfeld episode about Grandma Mimma.

I'd heard Rosie as a masturbation reference. As in "Sure, you've got a date... with Rosie Palm!"

As for Piper, I hadn't ever heard the naughty side of it either, in English. But in French, to give someone a pipe (same word, pronounced peep in French) IS a BJ. I wonder if that's where it came from.

When I hear Piper, I think of the small airplane. /geek

I would just love to see a little Minna running around. That name is very dear to my heart.
