Okay, this entire thread is a joke, no?

17:25 here. You are wrong. The state of Virginia was named after the Virgin Queen-Elizabeth I and the name Virginia is the Feminine form of the Roman family name Verginius or Virginius. See this:

Reagan/Regan reminds me of the Exorcist.

No. Way.

That was Regan. Great. Name. Nevertheless. Also love Charlotte, Mary, Hope, Grace, Isabel and Elizabeth.

For boys, the names John, William, Daniel, Thomas and Peter sound lovely to me, personally.

I like this thread. Thanks, OP.

I love the names Vaughn and Connell for boys - but I can never use them because my husband hates them.

I also adore the name Tanith for a girl - hubby vetoed that one, too. Our daughter's runner up name was Evie, but I'm probably not going to use that one if we had a second girl.

Am I the only person who would consider the name Neil for a child? For some reason, I am digging this name lately.

But I like anything that isn't being used too much - I'm averse to "popular" names.

I had never thought of Tanith, though I do know of one. Hearing it now - I like that name a lot, too. And FWIW, I also like Neil - I considered it for the boy name for our second child born last year if it ended up being a boy (it didn't, so now we have an Elena). Unfortunately we have a very nerdy, kind of strange neighbor across the street right now and his name is Neil. I think that affected my decision.

Yeah, I think my husband will ultimately veto Neil as well because of a dorky guy he had to work with on an engineering project. Darn it
