This year VDA has managed to recruit the bulk of those players. Some years it’s more spread out. But for those players it has little to do with the club they play for, even though parents think it does. Those same players could be at any number of other clubs and land the same D1’s. Because they are the best 40-50 soccer players in the area.

The bulk of the player movement happened when BP left TSJ. Added pieces since then, but when all the imported players age out, will the results remain? Possibly.

Bp didn't leave...fcv finally dissolved into TSJ. The final year of CC and BP at FCV was when the club transitioned totally to TSJ in Springfield. None of the FCV kids were going to move to TSJ/Springfield. CC had a gig set up for himself. BP was finally picked up by a club. Its not like he had a choice. The biggest competition to fcv at that time was Mclean... and they wouldn't have him.

The biggest competition at that time was Vda. McLean had become union. You’re about 8 years behind. Again, this is all very easy to find on Google.

Genius move by QP to hire his biggest competition.

When BP had to leave there was no Union. It was still McLean. It was about a year later maybe more that union became a club. FCV and McLean were poaching players back and forth for years. VDA wasn't even on the radar.

So now we are doing VDA Marketing in DCUM. Great job VDA 👏

Arlington that constantly makes playoffs does not have this enterprise level marketing department. WOW.

BP hasn’t even been at VDA for 2 years yet.

Union has already come and gone.

Big strong players and direct play gets into playoffs at the younger age groups. It doesn’t work in the recruiting age groups. Arlington are not in the playoffs in those age groups and never are.

Let’s be honest with ourselves ARL has 1 very good age group…that’s it. Let’s see if they can keep it together…

I think you need to check your dates again.....When BP left FCV, it had been Union for at least a year at time time, maybe two.

The truth and facts are not allowed on this forum. BP has been at Vda for less than two years. Don’t tell that to DCUM though.

I hope that those girls stick together and all the other 2012 and 2013 teams do too. That way we can expose the fallacy that VDA develops strong players.

Don’t forget the other myth where they claim to be the only club where high level players can get recruited from.

carpool superteams and acquisitions. Someone should be close to retiring out of frustration after losing players this year.

VDA doesn't develop anything. BP is "collector." It's as much about him, and his ego, as anything else.

The schools they were crowing about on Instagram recently, by and large, aren't schools you can't get recruited from from other clubs. They're all DIII, and not high academic DIII.

Its Woodbridge. BP can recruit whomever but majority of families are still from that area and high D3 has never been VDA's things. VDA is for elite P4 prospects. If you are looking academic better off staying in Fairfax, Mclean and Arlington

Is there any reason that vda has club Instagram for every team EXCEPT their 2012s? Organization stepkids bc they haven't gotten to recruit and replace yet?
