| Our college son texts something almost every day and calls every other day while he walks from class to his car. |
|
A call from my end once every other weekend minimum, once a week max, plus a few funny reels (cute animals) via social media. I generally think this is their time to explore being on their own but do want to remind them we'll always be there.

That’s so cute! |
I talk to mine everyday as well, at least once a day! We both love it and wouldn't have it any other way. (We are not culturally American) |
and mine! ❤️ |
| We talk almost everyday and text multiple times a day. We exchange pictures of dinner and just ask how each others day is. |

DH texted the family group chat and asked the kids if they'd seen the "bunny" performance at the super bowl....
whoops. |
Nah- he knows the performer’s name - even people who don’t watch the show know it from the news. |
Exactly my experience with my junior son. Radio silence until he needs my credit card pin 😂 |
| Freshman DS usually responds to whatever random texts we send him (several a week), when he can. He's busy and we try not to deluge him. Otherwise, he texts when he has questions or needs something. He's never been one for small talk, which is fine. We just like occasional proof of life, and to be reassured everything's okay. |
Same. She’s in UK |
The crazy part is people judging other people for how much they communicate. |
Same here. We talk daily as does everyone I know. I think this is typical. |
| Oversees freshman, have a close relationship, and connect daily. Someday several times a day depending on what is happening. |
