🎯. Even today on the Daily Mail, there are people insisting the dirt on Virginia Giuffre is just about to come out, and then we'll all know Andrew is innocent. And don't believe your lying eyes about those pictures showing Andrew with young girls and his emails to Epstein.

It's actually pretty disgusting.

People? You mean like the commenters who are likely bots?

Yes, absolutely the bots, especially on the DM. But someone told the bots to defend Andrew, it's just unclear who.

Do you think those bots speak for the majority?

Yes, it is.

It's disgusting on both sides of the pond, how people are so resistant to the idea that women are regularly treated so poorly by those we've come to admire.

It seems like they truly want to both believe that Andrew and Gates and Trump and Chomsky and Bannon are normal and innocent in spite of any evidence presented.

They can't possibly take in the fact that elites hold working class girls in such low regard that they will tolerate any amount of debasement (even of thousands of girls and boys) as just how things are.

That said, at least the improprieties are still being punished in the UK. Sadly we in the US are looking more unredeemably mysoginistic by the day.
It's beyond sad.

Agree 100%. At least Mandelson has had to leave Parliament and will be investigated. So far, there's been no accountability here in the US.

Fergie is coming in for some deserved shaming. But her daughters are also taking it on the chin, and from what little I know, they've met with some shady characters, but there's no proof--so far at least--that they actually did anything bad apart from spending time with their parents. I dunno, maybe the York sister should cut their parents off. But that hardly seems on the same level as the crimes committed by Trump, Andrew, Fergie, Gates, Musk, Chomsky, and Bannon, yet you rarely read about most of these. Here, have another article bashing Meghan.

He is just in the receiving end of the tabloid drama that is in many ways controlled by the royal family.
But you are right, they are trashy and always have been. Even Charles said to his wife ‘Did you think I was going to be the first Prince of Wales to not have a mistress?’

Right?

I just think...Harry didn't do anything that bad? I mean, he's messed up from the trauma of losing his mom when he was so young and then, I think, not having any parent at all who put him first after that horrible day they made him walk on international TV behind his mom's casket. But I don't think he's a bad person. He's spoken about mental health issues a lot, in a way that is helpful to others. He acknowledges that he is a little messed up.

But:

I remember reading how immature he was for having (allegedly) punched his old Uncle Andrew at some family event, and telling William that he "hates" his Uncle Andrew. And...we can see that he was right. Andrew is disgusting.

I have real respect for Harry for taking his family far away from this messed up family who protected this vile abuser for years. I can't really respect William as much, because he was happy to keep in the fold and keep his mouth shut until it could be avoided no longer.

They're all messed up. But Harry is messed up with a little bit of integrity.

I think William is playing the long game and will reshape the monarchy for good when he is king. The Andrew issue is for law enforcement and the courts. That's the only thing that matters as far as Andrew is concerned. Who cares if he's still invited to Christmas dinner? (Though I'm sure he's totally cut off now).

Andrew isn't totally cut off. Charles is still giving him a house, money, and paying his security bills. Charles could use that as leverage to get Andrew to sit down with the Met or the FBI.

William seems to have two planks for his monarchy: 1. I hate Harry and Meghan and will strip their titles, and 2. Royalty with a small "r," which apparently means working less (says he hates ribbon-cutting type events and dress-up events like the Garter ceremony) while refusing to release his tax filings like Charles does. Will and Kate even sent a mispelled tweet from vacation with their greetings for VJ Day, which is normally a huge deal in Britain and has been attended by all available senior royals... until that tweet last August.

Honestly, read the press. That's all you'll see.

It's true.

For all his obvious faults, Charles has, for decades, worked to lift up the environment, socially responsible investment, and all the small steps (like responsible gardening) we can take to make our world better. He's shown tremendous ambition when he really didn't have to.

Will, well...hasn't.

I think those bots speak for whoever is paying them. Which we won't know until someone leaks it. We know the Waleses use bots (google "New York Times A Royal Instagram Mystery), but that's not a smoking gun.

We can see that the majority of Mail comments and votes are paid-for-by-someone bots. Check out most DM articles: the top 5 comments, which are probably bots, get thousands of approving votes, often in the incriminating 10::1 upvote-to-downvote algorithm. The responses to those comments, and comments below the top five, rarely break a few hundred votes.

He accused William of shoving him. Accused Kate of not wanting to hug or share lip gloss with Meghan, and also of “making Meghan cry” and they accused some unnamed person of asking about the baby’s skin color.

Well, none of it's exactly a hanging offense is it?

Of course not. But he’s definitely airing dirty laundry, and doing so intentionally. Surely you can see where this would create distrust?

Yes, however, if I were his parent, nothing in there would keep me from establishing a relationship with his children. All the more if I think is wife is a bit off. What's missing seems to be the warmth and caring towards him and his children, which is made all the more sad because he lost his mother so young and was so vulnerable, in a way Will wasn't as an older kid.

DP. +1. Apparently it was Kate who made Meghan cry over the bridesmaids' dresses, although someone on the Waleses' team leaked to the public that Meghan made Kate cry. Harry found Meghan on the kitchen floor in tears and Kate came around with flowers and an apology the next day. So when KP went out in public to lie about something the Sussexes hadn't spilled publicly, surely the Sussexes are entitled to set the public record straight.

Harry has said a few times that he left 400 pages of Spare on the cutting room floor because they were too incendiary. Part of me wants him to publish them after Charles dies, especially if William continues to be a complete jerk to the Sussexes and to manipulate the British press against them.

Well the BM dresses looked like shit and didn't fit. Meghan probably should have listened to her future SIL more since she had much more experience with royal weddings and her daughter was one of the bridesmaids. But, oh well. She knew best, which is why her post royal career is floundering and she can't keep staff on.

This thread is about what the British royals should do about Andrew, and whether they're shielding them. It's not another of your "I hate Meghan" threads that you can twist to divert attention from Andrew. Try to focus.

It is interesting for sure. They are a mess. It does seem like Kate and William are trying very hard to be as stable and boring as possible for this reason.

Oh, is that why Kate and William rarely leave their new 140-acre lodgings to do work? Kate's worked 6 days since Christmas, and William's barely worked more.

Who cares? Even if you take away everything owned by the “crown” and the sovereign grant, they are still personally loaded.

If I were a princess getting married with a $1M diamond tiara on my head (or someone who already had completed that feat), I would not be fighting with my future SIL about hugs, lip gloss, or bridesmaid dress hems. And crying about it. No matter who did what to who.

Some days I'm embarrassed for womankind

Actually it's just about British Royals. Is Meghan one or not? If she is then she's fair game.
