Harry and William both went through same turmoil with unhealthy marriage and affairs of their parents and death of their mother. They were only few years apart, which probably made William more privy to the reality. |
| As far as cutting toxic birth families off, that's understandable. Being publicly toxic to same families you cut off, that's trashy. |
+1. People who have had enough just walk away. No book, Oprah interview, or media strategy necessary. Nobody needs cell phone videos of your "Freedom Flight." I would excuse them by saying she was having a mental health crisis, but the Oprah interview was well removed from that moment. This whole thing is toxic. |
What a silly straw man. I assume that anyone alive, like me, with a heart, has one view of Andrew. He’s a john and abuser. He had women trafficked to him across the world. I hope Starmer and Charles III pressure him to testify in open fora regarding the abuse. Sarah Ferguson is a corrupt fraud and financial beneficiary of Epstein. There is nothing to debate. Normal people don’t want to discuss every detail of sex crimes. Harry and Meghan are different. They are a gossip story, an Icarus for the 2020s. They suck at everything, they’ve blown their wad on Netflix and pretending nothing stories like fights over lip gloss are the equivalent of Emmitt Till and Rosa Parks. They are deeply unpopular; in the UK, only Andrew polls below them in YouGov. I will say that a PP told a story only by halves. Andrew Lownie made explicit that the fight between Harry and Andrew was over Meghan, and that Andrew told Harry that he needed to check Meghan’s background more. On Netflix, Meghan said her friendship with Eugenie was formed pre-Harry, while Harry wrote in Spare that Meghan ‘definitely hadn’t Googled’ the BRF because (he believes this as he’s thicker than pig shit) Meghan innocently inquired whether Andrew was the Queen’s ‘servant’ or ‘bag carrier’ when they ‘first met.’ So. I won’t revive the yacht stuff because I personally don’t believe the rooms at Soho House London float. But that is why they fought. Harry needs to believe his wife was purer than a baby in an Ivory soap ad, because he’s effing stupid. He could’ve taken the easy win and not desperately said he never hit Andrew, or Harry could have sued Lownie. He didn’t do any of the smart things because he wants to believe she wanted him because he’s so hot and intelligent and honorable… |
| No one thinks Harry is “worse” than Andrew. No one. Harry is the one who put the literal and emotional distance between him and his family. That’s very much his right, but he needs to own his choices and not complain about a situation he created. |
Oh FFS, leave Meghan out of it, you people are pathetic. And stop lying about Meghan: it was a SINGLE audience of one, and she was announced by the butler in a house in NYC where she was staying as a guest, so it's unlikely she had anything to do with it. |
Oh, is that why Kate and William rarely leave their new 140-acre lodgings to do work? Kate's worked 6 days since Christmas, and William's barely worked more. |
🎯. Even today on the Daily Mail, there are people insisting the dirt on Virginia Giuffre is just about to come out, and then we'll all know Andrew is innocent. And don't believe your lying eyes about those pictures showing Andrew with young girls and his emails to Epstein. It's actually pretty disgusting. |
Harry and Meghan told the truth about what happened to them in Britain, to counter the lies the tabloids and BRF were spreading about them. They had an absolute right to tell their story. Also, Harry has donated most or all of the proceeds of Spare, so he didn't do it "for money." He has a large inheritance from Diana and recent reporting on Meghan's company shows she's made tens of millions from it, so far. Agree that Andrew is a monster. |
People? You mean like the commenters who are likely bots? |
ITA. Harry spoke about how the palaces used him for their own PR, including inflating his struggles at school and experimentation with drugs to make the heir look better. Then that the bashing of his wife was coming from the palaces, who dealt with bad PR around William's affair but wouldn't challenge the press who called Harry's son a monkey. It doesn't seem terrible to me that Harry told his side of these stories. |
Yes, absolutely the bots, especially on the DM. But someone told the bots to defend Andrew, it's just unclear who. |
Yes, it is. It's disgusting on both sides of the pond, how people are so resistant to the idea that women are regularly treated so poorly by those we've come to admire. It seems like they truly want to both believe that Andrew and Gates and Trump and Chomsky and Bannon are normal and innocent in spite of any evidence presented. They can't possibly take in the fact that elites hold working class girls in such low regard that they will tolerate any amount of debasement (even of thousands of girls and boys) as just how things are. That said, at least the improprieties are still being punished in the UK. Sadly we in the US are looking more unredeemably mysoginistic by the day. It's beyond sad. |
Andrew isn't totally cut off. Charles is still giving him a house, money, and paying his security bills. Charles could use that as leverage to get Andrew to sit down with the Met or the FBI. William seems to have two planks for his monarchy: 1. I hate Harry and Meghan and will strip their titles, and 2. Royalty with a small "r," which apparently means working less (says he hates ribbon-cutting type events and dress-up events like the Garter ceremony) while refusing to release his tax filings like Charles does. Will and Kate even sent a mispelled tweet from vacation with their greetings for VJ Day, which is normally a huge deal in Britain and has been attended by all available senior royals... until that tweet last August. Honestly, read the press. That's all you'll see. |
It's true. For all his obvious faults, Charles has, for decades, worked to lift up the environment, socially responsible investment, and all the small steps (like responsible gardening) we can take to make our world better. He's shown tremendous ambition when he really didn't have to. Will, well...hasn't. |
