If they had a 2 hour delay they would. |
That’s what they used to do with early dismissal Mondays. A delay would push the release time to the later bell. |
I'm asking the question because FCPS is the one who didn't already decide to close tomorrow. I don't understand that, but I've predicted what they'd do wrong before. |
Other than PG in MD, which districts have announced for tomorrow? I don’t know of any. |
| They’re not opening at all tomorrow. I watched a neighbor with front wheel drive spin his tires forever trying to get out of his driveway today. Took him and his kid 3 attempts at shoveling the snow and ice around his tires for him to finally get anywhere - over 20 minutes trying to escape the end of his driveway. Give it up. |
we won't know til around 3-4 pm about tomorrow, Wednesday. |
I don't want them to open, I just don't get why they didn't call it already. |
Eh, it's good to start a new thread. This discussion is about Wed. anyway. |
FCPS definitely needs Dr Brabrand back. |
Really they don’t usually call it til 3-5 pm especially as it gets to be multiple days of closures and they know people are getting pissy. They want to look like they waited as long as they could for anything to change before calling it. |
I liked how PG County did it - they said they are closed through Thurs. Friday is TBD. That way families can plan accordingly, no guessing or waiting around for an official announcement, and the reality is the neighborhood streets and school parking lots can't sufficiently be cleared until then. Done and done. Wish fcps would follow that same type of forward thinking and announcement. |
I mean I hate to be this person, but if my private relied on FCPS, I'd have the FCPS calendar handy for reference......just saying. |
My younger kids, in private, also rely on FCPS for inclement weather closings. It'weekdays. FCPS, can still declare "closed" on Th/Fri bc lots of groups/Scouts/rec leagues/HS athletics use the schools for extracurriculars and they would need to know. And teachers presumably come into their school building on teacher workdays. |
+1 |
We can work from home Friday. |
