I think "he is weird looking" as an argument against a candidate went out the window when Trump won the nomination and then the presidency. |
Frey is a distinguished athlete with a law degree and a history of tampering down civil tension. He is also Jewish. He was a serious decorated track athlete and can run a 2:16 marathon. No more old fliers in the office. Mid 40s is the perfect age. |
Jacob Frey. +100 These lifelong establishment people need to go outside the box. NOBODY current in the house or senate should be considered. Period. |
And Newsom is too controversial right now |
What is Harris actually doing. What actions is she taking? Again, you can't think of ANYTHING our leaders could be doing with their gobs of money, connections, and name recognition? Nothing??? |
+1 |
Ro Khanna gets great love and marks from his Californian constituents and he flew to Minneapolis to stand in solidarity with protestors who are, as we know, getting kidnapped, maimed, and murdered. He’s South Asian and progressive and he is willing to put himself at risk on all levels to just be a decent human. I admire him. I also think Sen Van Hollen does Maryland proud. It is POSSIBLE to stand on principle. Neither of these men get the credit they deserve for basic decency. Both could very easily glide to re-election year in and year out but they don’t. The party has actually a lot of people I admire, but the ones who think they need the top 2 national jobs or to be leaders in the Senate and house are always vile. |
given the genocide that is Israel, no jewish candidate will succeed on the national level. |
Jacob Frey couldn't even get into TJHSST. He's not besting Vance intellectually. |
Hopefully the DNC won’t cave to the trendy left antisemitism though. |
NP yes. Agree. Many of you are letting the perfect get in the way of the good. Too many purity tests. I'll vote for the person with theD after the name, whoever that is. Do I prefer Kamala at this point? No. But if it was her, she'd get my vote. |
Someone about 40, ostensibly Christian white male who is brash occasionally drops the F word. Talks great policy about health care and economy but doesn't say anything about LGBTQ or BIPOC |
I think Kamala’s silence has a LOUD message. |
I have been active in my community. Getting rid of Trump is a good thing ans stopping government criminals, but I don’t support the Dems either. It will will be HURRAH! No more MAGA/Trump, but BOO, were left with whatever the heck the Democratic Party has morphed into. All the Dems ever want to do is take credit for things I’ve started and hold it up as an example for Democratic Party’s political purposes. What I do for my community is for the community not a party. I’m tired of party over real people. It’s like people do things because they want to earn merit badges. Maybe start doing the right things because they are right not because someone is going to notice. |
Nobody writes (re)election campaign checks for unseen good deeds. This is why politicians love and need photo ops. |
