Does the DNC have any sort of plan at all?

Then you aren't listening. Mark Kelly is talking.

I’ll take Jacob Frey.

I am listening. He isn’t making it into my algorithm for some reason.

She hasn't been silent at all in fact she spoke out before some others. But you couldn't wait to get your dig in

What has she been DOING that you believe demonstrates leadership? Anyone can give an interview and say some stuff.

She isn't in office, so other than giving interviews and showing up at protests, what do you expect?

Welp, if she has any hopes to run again, she maybe should get her ass on some planes and lobby Congress. She's an empty suit. My guess is she's probably focused on collecting fat speaking engagement checks.

Lobby Congress is your answer? She isn't changing the minds of GOP elected officials. I think you are being unrealistic.

Giving up in advance, and negotiating away any power you have. That’s her. She comes from a long line of losers who preceded her in having absolutely no honor or clue about how most people feel or live. It doesn’t matter to me anymore that she’s a WOC. If she wanted her role to just mean something symbolic without action, she should have married Prince Charles or one of his kids.

We have been in this coma since the 90s. HRC is right now attending a real estate conference event in Riyadh with John Kerry, Tucker Carlson, Richard Branson, and Piers Morgan.

That is very on brand for Democrats. It's not a surprise that Hillary Clinton and John Kerry are choosing this time to rake in money in Riyadh. The Obamas too are absolutely shameless with their greed. There needs to be some serious generational change in the Democratic Party if they want to be viable going forward. There is absolutely no leadership coming from Schumer, Jeffries, Harris. The entire group of recent Democratic leaders needs to go.

Part of what makes me so nuts is that Jeffries and Harris are younger and far more in touch, I would think, with the waves of sentiment of younger Democratic elements. Not because they are POC, but because they were initially regarded as unusually good with rhetoric - Jeffries at the impeachment, and then getting the nod from Pelosi, and Harris initially having a push with her 2020 run until that just went up in flames. It’s all so bewildering.

Leadership. That's what we expect. She may not be in office but she has access to a lot of power and she doesn't seem to be doing much with it at a time when leadership is desperately needed. Do you people expect literally anything from the people who seek power from you? She was asking, and will possibly ask again, for the highest office in our country, yet in our country's time of need, she's writing books and giving soundbites while regular Americans are putting their bodies on the line to protect their neighbors.

You can't think of ANYTHING she could do with all her money, connections, and name recognition?

You keep saying "leadership"

What are the specific actions you expect?

People are standing in front of cameras and talking.
People are protesting and documenting.
Dem governors are standing up to the threats as best they can.
There isn't a lot that can be done with Congress.

What else do you want to see?

Jeffries is a complete disappointment.

Schumer needs to be out.
Jeffries needs to be out.
Absolutely no to Harris.

Besides Bernie Sanders, who will never get elected, Democrats who have actually impressed me with their courage or leadership: Chris Murphy, Ro Hanna, Chris Van Hollen, Mark Kelly.

Don't try to shove a candidate down our throats who is carefully curated but had no discernable stance when it mattered. The DNC should understand that but I'm afraid they don't.

American college graduates are struggling to find work in the fields they trained for. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, recent graduate unemployment stands at 5.3% – higher than the overall workforce – with underemployment reaching 41.8%, the highest level since 2020. The Cleveland Fed reports that the unemployment gap between college and high school graduates is at its lowest since the late 1970s, concluding that the bachelor's degree is "no longer delivering on its fundamental promise."

Meanwhile, fewer than half of American STEM graduates are finding jobs in STEM fields, yet 53% of workers in the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program are employed in STEM. The OPT program has grown over 400% in recent years, even as software development job postings have fallen 34% from pre-COVID levels. Computer science graduates face 6.1% unemployment, computer engineering graduates 7.5%, and physics graduates 7.8%.

Please send a message to your U.S. Representative urging him to support H.R. 2315, the Fairness for High-Skilled Americans Act, to eliminate the OPT program and level the playing field for American college graduates.

This is kind of offside but the Obamas have made their millions as successful content creators, and they have been open that their days of public service as far as actually holding office or stumping directly for any cause are over. They don’t do a fan dance and say hey maybe I’ll take that role, at all. Harris and HRC kind of do, with their faux outrage, occasionally, in short and meaningless statements, which never lay out action. HRC can get money, I guess. Harris doing this coy “maybe” act about running is absolutely without dignity and demonstrates that uneasy feeling a LOT of people had about her, that she has no ideas or politics. People here freak the F out and demonize Mamdani but damn, he has politics. Meaning, he has read more than one paragraph about political economy and has stood ten toes down on what he thinks. It doesn’t make him perfect. It does make him a man who to his face called Trump a fascist within the past 6 weeks, who has affirmed his city’s sanctuary laws will apply when ICE turns its head like a snake and resumes attacks in NYC. We don’t need a hundred more of him. We need people who say they have ideas and principles, be willing to even articulate them.
