Still has nothing to do with yield protection. |
Exactly. Who cares. It is a good school in a fun place. Who wouldn’t love it? |
That's the spirit. Rah rah rah. Our school is the best! |
Have no connection to USC actually, just living in the present. |
| 4.62 GPA, 18 AP/DE, strong EC's, internships, international awards- deferred from USC Marshall |
damn |
Test optional? |
Definitely the issue |
| My kid was deferred from USC but the two kids from their school who were accepted EA went test optional. So, who knows! |
What was their test score? |
It’s now $99,462 a year. And, yes, So. Californians look down on it. Even those of us who had family go there. |
Sadly it’s in line with other private colleges. |
Close to $100k is not worth it for USC, and it never will be. |
Certainly not if you can’t afford it. True for every college. Not USC specific. My own child was admitted but we are passing. |
No. It’s the one that leads the pack. It was the first one to hover over $90k only a few years ago - then the rest followed. I am aware of only 2 over $100k - NYU and a SLAC in Colorado. The rest are $94-$96, but the moment USC goes over, the rest will follow. USC is actually over now because it allots only $462 for travel. You can tell it doesn’t want to be the one big name to attract attention when it goes over $100k. |
